Strengths: Looks like a real helicopter; excellent flier once you learn how; charges quickly right from the remote; no antennas; cool blinking strobe light like a real chopper
Weaknesses: somewhat fragile; don't crash it too hard! after some serious hits, I could not trim the tail rotor any more and it just spun around
Summary: Fly this only indoors. In a big room. The better you get, the smaller room you can use. You might want to begin in a gym-seriously. And turn the A/C off, as any little breeze will disrupt it. Since it's controlled by infrared light, flying through sunbeams coming through the window can make it go out of control, too. Go easy on the controls; it's easy to oversteer it and crash. Try launching it by hand instead of taking off from the ground-it's easier. Watch the demos on YouTube. Once you learn how to fly it, it is AWESOME. A real marvel of engineering. Everything on it-the motors, wires, etc. is very tiny. It is pretty crash resistant, but I crashed it a lot when learning and ended up buying another later on. Now I love it and fly it everywhere I go (indoors!). The directions are weak, but make sense. To gain forward speed, you turn right a little bit. To stop, you steer slightly left. Use very light, quick control inputs. At least you can get parts for this thing(rotors) on ebay. I have two larger choppers(Syma 47g and 9093 Dragonfly) and this little one is way more controllable. The digital trim is a lot more convenient than turning the potentiometer on the bigger ones. Get this tiny one and have some fun indoors on your lunch break.
