Strengths: GOOD Quality in pictures cheap comes with a 32 mmc card

Weaknesses: low video quality It is only Low 30fps Economy 25fps Fine 10fps buttons have bad quality

Summary: Regardless of the quality problems. It is my opinion that the current line of tapeless budget camcorders are still a few years away from maturing to usefulness. I was hoping that this model would offer it but I will have to wait for another unit.

On the positive side it did come with a bunch of accesories (mini tripod, camera pouch) then most cameras today and the lithium-ion battery is removable and can be found easily if you need to buy an extra one.

Strengths: AWESOME all around quality and flexibility

Weaknesses: video is slightly less than average

Summary: The DV 5500 was designed with such intricate consideration and care that quality is, without a doubt, guaranteed. This Multi device isn't a camera with features 'built-in' to it; rather it is 7 high quality expensive devices, in one inexpensive package. To start off, the camera has eight features to enhance and extend your picture taking capabilities, whether you are in a dim room, or a bright environment selective modes enable you to take the clear vivid photos that you've been looking for for a very long time. Second, the camcorder with a respectable 4x real zoom and a 640x480 resolution allows decent video to be compressed by MPEG4 format for easy transfer, viewing and handling of your videos. Third, if you're looking for a webcam, you're looking at one of the clearest ones you will find anywhere. With vivid detail and bright colours, this is sure to satisfy tour web taping needs. Over these features and those such as a true to life voice recorder, what impressed me most was the MP3 playback. YOU are in control of the amount of memory you want, and YOU are in control with a beautifully enginnered menu selection. For your 7 everyday Tech craving fullfilments, this is what you need. Impressive!

Strengths: The shape is so small and save some space. The features are great and shipping was fast!!

Weaknesses: Pictures are not that clear.

Summary: I really like Mustek dv5500. I think it's very unique. The shape is my favorite small and cool. Easy to use and easy to learn.

It is really nice for its futures. There are not ...

Strengths: It is multifuntional plus it is more affordable than other brands.

Weaknesses: It is bulky, not an impresive design. Looks like a box with an arm.

Summary: It is really nice for its futures. There are not many words to express what I have said just now. I like what I can do with it, it multifuntion, but it does not impress me with the stile and design. I have seen some other that provably have a better design, but the catch is within the quality offered. But see, you have to understand custumers. We like multi-fution, reliability, long term use and the love at first sight (style and design).

Strengths: multi functional product and easy to carry.

Weaknesses: battery is only to use rechargeable battery not compatible such as aa or aaa battery.

DV 5500 Digital Camcorder Review

Strengths: Great camcorder for the money! Very slim & small. Solid build and the quality exceeded my expectations.

Weaknesses: Buttons and switches seem low grade but what do you expect for that price. User interface could use an upgrade, menu graphics look like Windows 95 style.

Summary: People either love or hate Mustek products and this camcorder makes me love Mustek even more. I know they have some quality issues with their products but I love this thing. It's so small and compact and it's quality is AWESOME for the price. One thing I love about Mustek is they seem to cram a bunch of features into their products. This thing has got an MP3 player, voice recorder, etc, etc. Uses SD/trans cards too so having a ton of free space is difficult because those cards are so common and low priced. LONG LIVE MUSTEK!
