Strengths: Great picture and sound, full backlight control, lots of inputs.
Weaknesses: Lack of caption support and optical audio output through HDMI inputs.
Summary: This is great HDTV for those who don't have a lot of money or have a small amount of space. Watching TV in HD is leaps and bounds over convention televisions, you won't want to go back. It has lots of HD inputs (2 HDMI, 2 component) which I use for cable, DVDs, and Xbox 360 and they all look fantastic. No ghosting, no color bleeding, and deep blacks. The TV itself is beautiful, real high quality. My only complaints are that there is no caption support when watching TV over HDMI (not necessary but useful at times) and the optical audio output doesn't work with anything connected through HDMI (it says so in the manual, its probably because of some copyright protection). Overall, its an amazing TV.

Strengths: Picture, Sound
Weaknesses: Some channels were not recognized
Summary: I've been using this TV for a little over a week now and I love it. The picture is crystal clear and it has great HD quality. The sound is good for a TV of this size. There are lots of inputs so you can hook up whatever electronics you have. I would recommend to anyone.

Strengths: Quality and sharpness of picture are 1st rate. No ghosting. Sound quality is unsurpassed.
Weaknesses: Delay in powering up which is found on most LCD's. Can't think of any real weaknesses specific to this set.
Summary: This is my second Samsung LCD in less than a year. You just can't beat the quality of their LCD sets. Looked at others such as Sharp but side to side comparison goes to Samsung. I use the set in an average size bedroom and the sound/picture quality is fantastic. Set-up is straight forward and that is important to me. Some sets can be a nightmare to figure out when adding cable and aftermarket entertainment systems. This was also a great value.

Strengths: Best picture, easy set up, sharp and clear
Weaknesses: remote has an odd shape
Summary: one of the best hdtv's out there. Ive checked the color and quality at many stores and Samsung is even better then my 42" toshiba. It is also a great size for a small room. It is a 23" screen with a small width compared to other brands,so it fits in the room better. the extra cost for Samsung is well worth it. I got it at Amazon for $539.00

Strengths: Perfect size for on bureau to watch from in bed.
Weaknesses: Instructions not as simple as I would have liked, but once I clicked the right thing, much set up was automatic.
Summary: I wanted a TV that would also be able to be connected to notebook; have not tried this yet. I also wanted one with an audio input so I could run a line to the Bose radio in the headboard. This permits me to keep no sound at the TV and keep the sound at my pillow very quiet. I plugged into the side where headphones go and found that I have to replug every time I put on the TV. So I will get a 15' RCA audio cable to plug into the back panel and believe that will keep the sound connected to radio without the need to keep replugging in. Love the picture compared to my older style TV.

Strengths: Nice Picture, Solid construction, Inputs galore
Weaknesses: Channel Labeling available for analog channels only, not on digital channels. SD picture is okay but I have seen better.
Summary: Purchased this TV for a bedroom and was familiar with the Samsung reputation on their plasma line. Tech reviews were mostly positive on this LCD set so figured I'd give it a try.

This is a very nice HDTV for a bedroom, or where space is limited. The integral ASTC/Clear QAM Digtal Tuner picked up the digital/HD signals on the Cable and allows HD viewing w/o a separate box for unscrambled channels. It picked up most channels my Visio has, and a couple extra.

One drawback on the digital side: if it doesn't recognize channel 100-4 and doesn't automatically add it, you can't enter 100-4 on the remote to view the signal strength to find out why not. It just won't go to that channel like it does for analog.

The SD picture quality isn't as good as my Sharp 32" LCD, but is better than the Vizio 20" LCD. HD picture is excellent!

The channel labeling is somewhat misleading, as it works only for analog channels. The digital channels show up as 122-1 and 122-2, which means nothing until you learn what they are. And, it's amazing how few channel ID's (what and where) are shown during the course of your viewing.

All in all I'm pleased with the TV. After viewing HD/digital on it I look forward to the all channels being broadcast in HD.
