Strengths: design
Weaknesses: battery life
Summary: This laptop is very nice. It's 14" with 1280 x 800, it's intel core 2 duo and it comes with a bunch of interface ports, including firewire. 1GB of memory is enough if you are only using installed softawre.

The only downside (and a big one) is the battery life. If you are planning on working disconnected, you must upgrade the battery or get a spare one.

Strengths: looks
Weaknesses: battery
Summary: I love this laptop. I had all major brands and never liked HP that much. They just didn't look nice. Lately I got a few DV Pavilions and I love them all. This one is my favorite. It's the most powerfull among the ones I got (core2duo vs AMD dual core I got with others), smallest (I wish it was even smaller), same resolution as 15.4"...

The only thing I don't like about it is the battery power. Don't know how long the battery lasts, but I'd guess 1-2hours, depending on your settings. I use the brightest settings, maybe that's why.

Strengths: Core 2 Duo, build-in webcam
Weaknesses: RAM not enough
Summary: I really like this computer. It's fast and the build-in webcam is awesome. The IR remote is fancy but useless, as it's a laptop not a home theater. It should have come with 2GB memory so that it could run vista smoothly.

Strengths: The color is good with ultrabright LCD. Come with almost all fancy functions, bluetooth, IR remote, integrated webcam and mic etc. The overall design is very comfortable.
Weaknesses: Battery life is not as long as I expected. It is easy to be sscratched and got fingerprints on the computer
Summary: This is a perfect laptop.I like the color and it is light enough to carry. The vista is not running well very even with 2G memory. I think it is the problem of windows vista. The keyboard feels good and the positions of extended ports are esay to use. At the same time, bluetooth, buildin camera and mic are useful. With remote control and bright LCD, it is an excellent entertainment. I like this laptop.

Strengths: Good Quality,HP Imprint cover,Bright LCD, nice configuration with almost all important ports; feeling good to the touch, blue tooth, and realtively light weight, quiet in running the programs~
Weaknesses: Battery life kind of short, less than $2hrs with wifi; Gloss finish easy got fingerprint everywhere; vista sucks!!
Summary: This is a great lappy.I really like the finish and the size though, smaller without compromising its use as an entertainment PC. Its C2D processor makes it very fast, but 2G memory is a must for runing the annoying vista; DVD burner is nice and stable; Build-in camera and mic are also a big plus. And its remoter makes the DVD watching much easier.

Overall, this is a great laptop for the money.

Strengths: Beautiful Imprint finish and webcam, Core 2 duo processor, light weight, portable,IR remote.
Weaknesses: Battery life is OK, windows vista is annoying
Summary: I love the size and the look of the laptop. Design is perfect, keyboard is silent. Speakers are good altec lansing speakers, display is bright. 1GB memory for running vista is awful, I need to upgrade to 2GB at least. I have great connection with my wireless signal. only disappointing feature is that they don't have a fully dedicated graphic card for gaming purpose, battery life is OK. Overall, looks fantastic, small/portable laptop. Highly recommended

Strengths: Bright screen, remote control, integrated webcam and mic, HDD size
Weaknesses: Windows vista is annoying
Summary: I got this machine for home use and for entertainment. The volume slider bar control is a nice feature. The machine is fast and is compact and stylish. The picture is sharp and I enjoy watching DVDs. I did not find any need for amplified speakers. Memory could have been 2 GB (Vista is slow with 1 GB as well). Still its not that bad with 1 GB.

I also do a lot of programming and used this machine for C++ programming and Matlab and it performed really well. I would strongly recommend this for entertainment and also for serious programmers. A nice laptop for the price.

Strengths: Good size, doesn't feel too small. Brightview screen is easy to view, battery life is good.
Weaknesses: Not as fast as I had hoped, and the windows vista causes problems.
Summary: This is an excellent laptop for on the road. It has all the features I was looking for, built in webcam, nice speakers, multiple usb ports and quickplay with remote for watching dvds. The brightview screen works in almost all light situations and the battery life is good. I have not yet bought the extended battery, I am getting 2:30 out of the included battery for now. I am looking forward to getting the quickdock for an easy plug in at home. Overall, excellent laptop and I would highly recommend to the seasoned traveler.
