Strengths: Good quality picture! Light weight and good looking TV.
Weaknesses: No VGA!! Only 12 month warranty.
Summary: Panasonic is one of the brands I look for when purchasing a TV and I really enjoyed this one. The TC-26LX70 is a more affordable television and great for a bedroom, outside patio, kitchen, or garage. Panasonic is a brand I trust and heck, they make the biggest flat panel out there which is 100 something inches so I figured I couldn't go wrong with this TV. The only other thing is the menu's aren't the easiest to use. Eventually everyone is going to have a flat panel TV in their house, they're becoming more affordable, so go get this one!

Strengths: Excellent high definition picture quality, along with very good picture quality for standard definition. Very good sound quality.
Weaknesses: Menus are clunky to navigate. No direct computer input.
Summary: Overall I am very pleased with the Panasonic TC-26LX70. The high definition picture quality is excellent as I expected; however, I was pleasantly surprised that the standard definition picture quality is actually very good. Sound quality is very good as well. I like the simulated surround sound that is built in to this set. I liked how it groups the analog channels together with the digital ones. No need to switch back and forth when surfing. I also like the aesthetics of the television as well. It has a nice matte black finish with brushed metal trim. (The glossy black finish and chrome trim of some brands' models are over the top.)

My only faults so far are the menus. They are rather clunky to use. Although I probably won't need to use this a computer monitor, a direct connection would have been nice, especially since this option seems to be coming more standard on other similar models.

The Panasonic TC-26LX70 features great quality at a reasonable price. That's my definition of value.

Strengths: Wide variety of inputs and outputs, great picture, clean & functional design, widest viewing angles available in LCD
Weaknesses: None
Summary: After a 2 week online and in-store search and comparison of ALL brands of LCD-HDTV's in the 23" to 26" range I chose this model above all others. The ONLY other model that compared in all respects was the Sony 26"...but the cost for it was around $150 more than this Panasonic which I purchased for $550 and will get a $55 rebate.

As mentioned in "strengths" I was impressed by the variety of inputs and outputs, especially the 2 HDMI and the fact that it has a side Video Input port for gamers...Wii looks INCREDIBLE on this unit! Also impressive is the fact that although the TV displays in 720p it will actually receive all signals, from 480i to 1080p depending on the source...and, believe me, 720p is overly sufficient for a 26" screen.

The unit I received was in perfect condition in ALL respects, i.e, no dead pixels, bad finish or anything of the sort. I had it out of the box (great packaging by the way...totally protected), hooked up and was watching hi-def exclusively within 10 minutes, without having to refer to the manual for anything. In my area (St. Louis, MO) was able to receive all 8 hi-def local stations (13 channels due to multiple feeds) via the airwave with a standard "rabbit ears" antenna and they all showed 90-100% signal strength with a perfect digital picture. I also have Charter digital cable and all their content was equally impressive.

The GREATEST strength shared by this Panasonic model and the Sony I mentioned has got to be the viewing angle. I don't know how anyone could purchase and be happy with any of the other brands out there! You would have to be sitting dead level, top to bottom and left to right, in front of the set to get a decent, watchable picture. When you go looking at these LCD TV's be SURE to move around, left and right and top and bottom to see how most models lose their picture. NOT this model!! It can be viewed from anywhere in the room with favorable results, much the same as it was with our old CRT televisions.

One last thing. Panasonic does a fine job on the audio portion as well! Clean, accurate sound that barely needs to be turned up in order to hear it adequately in a large bedroom (15x20) setting.

Strengths: (1) Very sharp/bright picture for 720p (2) Excellent digital QAM tuner (3) Includes duo-use remove (4) Plenty of input capabilities (4) Full one year warranty
Weaknesses: (1) Menus not the easiest to navigate
Summary: I highly recommend this television. I bought it based on prior reviews noting the sharpness and brightness of the picture, and I completely agree. Some might think it is too bright, as colors are near saturation, but to me it is perfect.

It comes with an excellent digital tuner. It moves through digital channels quickly, much more so than the Sharp Aquos 26" LCD that I had purchased about 18 months ago. There is nearly no pause when switching channels, a nice plus over the Sharp which was painstakingly slow! I have the TV coupled with an amplified antenna; overall HD reception is quite good.

A nice feature is that the remote can double as a DVD remote too, if you use it with a Panasonic DVD player. It may work with others as well (?), but it works fine with my Panasonic player.

There are more than enough inputs, including two HDMI inputs. I only use the HDMI & coaxial input, but I know others will appreciate the many choices. See the tech specs for details.

Also, it comes with a one-year warranty. I know some brands only come with a 90-day warranty. While LCDs have a low rate of problems overall, you never know when you will be stuck with the factory lemon, so having a full year to test it is nice.

On the negative side the menus can be a bit more challenging to navigate then some other brands in my opinion, but it wasn't anything that was too difficult to figure out.

Overall I highly recommend this set.

Strengths: Excellent picture and sound qualities. Also, it has earphone plug
Weaknesses: no PC input
Summary: Compared with Sharp and Toshiba before purchase. Picture quality is definitely better than that of Sharp's.

Agree with other reviewers on the control of menu. It is not as easy as Sharp's.

Strengths: Clear picture; Strong QAM; Wide-angle (178 Degree) viewing; 2HDMIs and many other AV inputs; good speakers
Weaknesses: No VGA input; can use a DVI-HDMI cable but the screen cuts off the menu bar ; color fidelity by Panasonic's innovative LiFi(LIght FIdelity) is a bit too strong and saturated for my taste
Summary: Panasonic TC-26LX70 is a nice 26" LCD HDTV. The features that I like are: QAM (strong); Sound-quality (very good for the TV size); and 2 HDMI, either of them accepts a DVI-HDMI connection with your computer. The TV does not have a VGA input. I'm hooking up my PowerBook with a DVI-HDMI cable at the 1080i resolution--The TV offers a very clear, wonderful computer screen. The only issue is the screen cuts off the menu bar, and adjustment of the screen vertical position did not help. The color and tone of the TV picture are a bit too strong and saturated for my taste. I tried color adjustment but did not get completely satisfactory results. Overall, it is a good purchase, however.

Strengths: Picture Quality. Sound. Remote. Size
Weaknesses: None as of yet
Summary: I love this TV. For it's size it is great. I have replaced the old 19" in the bedroom with this. I wish I had the same thing only larger for our living room. I cannot believe the picture. Though we don't get any HD programing as of yet, the picture quality is like looking out a window.
