Strengths: Accuracy, Memory, Aerobic steps counter, Ability to put in pocket or purse, etc
Weaknesses: Sometimes there is a slight delay in count. If in purse, bag, etc you need to ensure it doesn't lie flat (or less than 60 degrees from horizontal).
Summary: Overall, I highly recommend this pedometer. It is very accurate. In fact, you can hold it in your hand and look at it as you walk. When I did this, it was right in-sync with my steps. I also went for a longer walk and counted the steps and it was within a few steps. I clipped this pedometer and my old under $10 pedometer on (which I knew was inaccurate, I thought by around 50%) but I found that my old one was counting at almost double the Omron, so I was really only getting in half the steps the old one listed.
You can clip this on your belt, wear it around your neck, put it in a pocket, or even in your bag. However, The pedometer works best when in an upright position. It will work pretty well on it's side or even upside down, but it must be perpendicular to the ground. It can slant slightly, but not more than 30" from vertical. This means, if it is in your pocket or purse, you should clip it to the side, and you can't have really baggie pockets or floppy purses. All in all, it's still a great deal not have to have it constantly clipped to your side!!
Finally, there is sometimes a lag in it counting steps. This is particularly noticeable if you are looking at it! It does tend to "catch-up" and jump ahead close to the right number, so I don't think it affects the accuracy too much.
Overall, I highly recommend this pedometer!!!
