Panasonic SC-PT950 Home Theater System

Nice Unit for a TownHouse or Apartment

Strengths: Wireless rear speakers, excellent DVD/CD player, iPod friendly, nice subwoofer, clean sound, excellent volume on AM/FM, auto 5 speaker set up, sharp looking unit,

Weaknesses: No bass or treble controls, Volume dial needs to be turned up at least halfway for listening to DVD/CD's, TV, or iPod, remote takes some getting use to.

Summary: Over all the SC-PT950 is a very good unit for someone who wants a moderate Home Theater System. It plays a great DVD picture on my 27" SD Sony with component inputs. The over all sound is clear, the subwoofer is very good for a unit this size. The wireless rear speakers work great and are "wife friendly". The SC-PT950 pumps out a great amount of volume when listening to FM radio (I don't listen to AM or XM, which the unit will play if you subscribe to it), but when the audio is switch to the DVD/CD, TV, or iPod inputs the volume output drops and you must turn up the volume to at least halfway or more for what I would consider a somewhat "regular" listening level. The remote takes care of just about everything on the unit. It takes a little getting use to because there's a lot on it, but it's not hard to figure out. So if you live in an apartment or townhouse and want a clean sounding unit that plays DVDs with great quality, offers a range of different media to listen to, and you don't have a lot of cash to spend I would recommend the Panasonic SC-PT950.

very good SC-PT950 Home Theater System

Strengths: perfect

Weaknesses: Weakness is hard to figure out how to increase rear speaker's volume.

Summary: This unit is very good for small living room but it's powerful enough for Home theater. All Black and very matching for black trimed plasma T.V.

I purchased 42" panasonic Plasma T.V, it's looks complite with this Panasonic SC-PT950 home theater system.

All others are perfect. 5DVD players are very good quality than any other DVD player. If you are not picky for stereo(like pick Bose or Karmen/H) then it is good system for Panasonic Big T.V. Rear speaker is handy and works good.

Panasonic SCPT950

Strengths: Good bass Easy to setup Many connections Ipod ready

Weaknesses: Manual could be better

Summary: 2008-02-01 22:07:08 This home theater system seems very well put together. The box is HUGE like other systems in it's class. It offers 1200W and there is no shortage of power. It looks great and performs even better. I really liked the ipod dock that is included as it's really easy to play songs from your ipod.

The instruction manual needs some work as it is hard to understand but is manageable.

Overall, it's a great system and would highly recommend it especially if you can find a good price on it!

Home Theater System With Wireless Remote Speakers Included

Strengths: 1200 Watts, IPOD friendly,5 disc DVD and CD Player, rear wireless speakers.Sound is fantastic. FM/AM radio.

Weaknesses: instuction booklet not very easy to follow. You need an engineering degree. Took two days to figue how to increase volume on rear speakers.

Summary: Bought it at Circuit City the day it was put on the floor. All other systems you have to buy the wireless system seperately, which can add at leat $150. to the cost. I wanted to spend about $400. Panasonic had the right product. Wonder why they did not have a system like this years ago. I recommend this system highly.

very good

Strengths: very good home theater system even the dvd player

Weaknesses: to adjust the rear spks volume dont have any adjustment

Summary: The picture quality is very good on the dvd player and you can set your video out from 480i to 1080p with the HDMI output. The sound on the 5.1 surround sound is good and you can set the sound out on different option the rear wireless is very helpful dont have to worry about any wires to run.

Sounds Great!

Strengths: It doesn't matter where you sit in the room, it sounds as if you're at the theater.

Weaknesses: Haven't found any.

Summary: I can't get over the difference in the sound! My whole family loves it. This was money well spent. Hooking the system up was surprisingly easy as well. You won't go wrong buying this system.
