The filter was only $39.99, definitely a small price to pay in comparison to the cost of the lens. So far so good. It hasn't changed the quality of my images. It is very thin and clean. Fits perfectly on my lens. Good quality and price. I do have other B+W filters and find that the Hoya is just as good. 100% of People (1/1) found this review helpful. They offer protection will little or no image impact. It's such low profile that you probably won't know it is on the lens. If there are any knocks about this product, you can say it is a bit hard to get smudges off. I use a little soap and water and avoid harsh cleaning agents. As to price, I think it is positioned just right. There are cheaper alternatives out there, but they don't offer the same quality. Protects the lens. Good product for reasonable price. I have them on all my current lenses 70-200/2.8 L, 60mm/2.8 Macro, and 24-70/2.8 L.
