Strengths: Perfect burn, every time.
Weaknesses: None that I've observed.
Summary: This media has never let me down. I've used it in three different burners and I've never had a coaster from any of them. It is the most reliable brand I've tried, and I've tried quite a few of them. I recommend these without hesitation.

Strengths: Never had any burn issues with this media. I have been recommended that this is one of the best media to burn DVD's with. Search around as there are many dealers selling this, find the best deal!!!

Strengths: Brand name; cheap
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: 2005-05-19 14:19:50 For the price I paid, 50 dollars, I really could not ask for more. You get 8x speed, brand name Verbatim, and a cheap price tag with no coasters. What's NOT to like? It's really a no brainer.

Summary: I just opened my pack today and have gone through a good number of burns(Burning at full speed) and have noticed no problems with these dvd-rs.

Strengths: High qaulity media at a good price.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I have successfully burn 50 discs without any coaster. I have tried Ritek which is consider high quality media I still get 1-3 coasters out of about every 50 discs.

Strengths: No bad discs yet, and I have burned 12 backups.
Weaknesses: None as far as I can tell....runs smoothly.
Summary: I am pleased with my purchase, and I will probably buy Verbatim again. The only possible hindrance would be the re-write speed, but that goes with the technology (and price).

Strengths: Reliabile media.
Weaknesses: Recording surface too easy to scratch.
Summary: The media is MCC 02RG20. Recorded 12 disks, with Nero. Used recorders Sony DRU-710A (drive speed 8x, recorded at 8x), Sony DRU-510A (max drive speed 4x, recorded at 4x), and Rosewill RD-162 (max 8x, recorded at 8x). Encountered no problems except once. Got one coaster on dru510 - but discovered that the recording surface had very many small scratches from carrying the disc in a CD sleeve (a good quality sleeve, BTW, so I'm surprised). The other five disks did well on that recorder, so the coaster is definitely because of the scratches. The label surface is well designed, not scratchable, with space to write titles, etc.

Strengths: Burn at 8x, and sometimes even faster.
Weaknesses: Occasionally, not the full 4.3 GB can be used.
Summary: 2005-08-21 22:41:08 There are some cosmetic defects on the DVD surface towards the end of the disc (you can notice this by looking at the surface carefully in a bright light). To get around this, first I decided how much space I am going to use. If I am going to use more than 4 GB, then I will pick those perfect discs with no defects at all. It takes me one coaster to realize this, so with this mind, you should not be having any coasters. Good overall.

Strengths: It just works. no coasters
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Just got these today and already burned 10 of them. Not a single coaster. I have had theverbatim dvd-R's before already also and never any trouble. This is with a plextor Dual layer (px716a) burner which is already one of the best ones out there. Burns very well at 8x speeds. I don't even want to try another brand.

Strengths: So far no problem discs. At 8x, these burn very quickly.
Weaknesses: Price compared to lower quality discs. But you do get what you pay for.
Summary: Verbatim is known as one of the premiere manufacturers of DVD media and it shows their reputation is well deserved. I have yet to encounter a "coaster" or unusable disc in this box and all have burned flawlessly at 8x speeds. After these discs, I can't imagine using any lower quality DVDs ever again.

Summary: Never had any problems with this media. I've used Verbatim MCC before and haven't made any coasters. These are probably the best discs for the price (I payed 25 AR for 100 spindle)

Strengths: Burns great. No coasters!

Summary: I received these 3 days ago, and have tested about 12. Every burn has been clean. I am using the NEC-3520. Seems to work fine at 8x speed. This is a great deal, especially if, like me, you go through lots of media and can take advantage of available rebates.

Summary: Most burned ok with good quality. Had a few coasters, but it could have been the burning software or burner - who knows. I've used Memorex and TDK and the fail rate is about the same as those.

Strengths: Very fast burn time
Weaknesses: Found one badly scratched disc in the pack.
Summary: These were typical run of the mill, reliable verbatims with the exception of the top disc that was badly scratched. Could be an anomaly or bad packing. The rest burned flawlessly.

 Bad experience Strengths: Non faluty disks are good. I haven't face any problems during burning.
Weaknesses: Out of 100 disks, I have found 35 faluty DVD's. Writable portion was observed to be damaged. No DVD burner accepts the DVD's.
Summary: Bad experience.I am going to contact Verbatim and ask for replacement.
Bottom line is that product is good but I would recommand you check spindle and confirm that non of the disk is damaged.
