Strengths: Vivid clarity, miriad of options for XM, Ipod, video, bluetooth and just overall a well made product.
Weaknesses: Slow hard drive reaction when changing screens. No other issues
Summary: I would highly recommend this product. It has a very large display and gives you many options like bluetooth, xm radio navi traffic, ipod and backup camera connection. I have had a AVIC-D3 in the past and I believe this is a better product for serious navigation users.

Summary: PIONEER AVIC-Z2

I had been keeping an eye on this unit, but it comes with a pricey price tag. I searched for a few months, till finally Al & Ed’s had a 50% off all items after Thanksgiving sale. I paid $1250.00 for the unit (its MSRP is $2200.00), but somehow it came-out to $1720.00 out the door. I’ve seen it for $1300-$1600 on that online auction site, but keep in mind you’ll need to add the harness, car kit and installation fees. So I suppose “my price” was OKAY.

That said! The Z2 is an awesome unit, but if you have a newer vehicle with especial audio systems (e.g. Bose, Infinity) you will need a special wiring harness. All NAV/DVD systems lock you out of certain features while you are driving. This is not new or exclusive to Pioneer. However, there is a bypass out there.

Overall I like the unit. I hope Pioneer updates the software! I really enjoy this product. Once you figure out the menus and intricacies it is fairly user friendly.
