Strengths: It works. Simple, no hassle, just plug it in.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: I had read that connecting my Motorola phone to my computer required software and cables costing $50 or more. Turns out that's only for Windows machines. If you have a Mac, just buy this cheap cable and plug your phone in and everything syncs automatically with iSync. Very convenient, very good deal.

Strengths: Works with e815 and v265 phone.
Weaknesses: Does not charge phone through USB. Must attach power adapter to a port on the side of the cable to charge phone.
Summary: I originally bought a USB charging cable on ebay to connect my e815 to the computer. Apparently, those charging cables do not transfer data to the e815; they only charge it. I bought this cable and it works great. My Verizon phone is now unlocked and I can now transfer my own pictures, wallpaper, MP3's, etc without using their stupid pay-per-use service. howardforums.com is a good place to start for help on that subject. FYI, the ebay cable worked with my v265 phone just fine but buy this one instead since it works with both right out of the box. I don't think there is a difference between the a, b, and c versions but I purchased the b version.

Strengths: Offical Motorola brand, Length is decent, you can plug in your charger on the side of the connecting head
Weaknesses: you need software/drivers but you can find them online, i have only tried Motorola Mobile Phonetools
Summary: It works just fine for me except sometimes it detects my phone as a "Unknown Device" but you can try alternating between USB ports and/or uninstall "Unknown Device" driver and try plugging it back in

Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: This is the genuine Motorola charging USB cable, with all of the strengths and weaknesses inherent in the design (The connector on the phone side could be more solid like in the LG phone cables). It has worked flawlessly for me with a Moto E815 phone.

Strengths: Does what it's supposed to, good OEM product. If you're looking to use a data cable to mod your moto phone, this is the way to go as generic cables are known to fail with Moto software.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: The software used to run the cable is tempermental (not the fault of the product, but worth mentioning to any contemplating purchase), and remember that if you have a Verizon phone "special considerations" apply.
See Howard forums, iNetron, Nuclear Elephant, and v710.org for pointers.

Strengths: Does what it is supposed to do and is a real Motorola product
Weaknesses: Comes with no drivers, you can find them semi easily on the net though
Summary: The only problem I had was getting it. I would have gotton it in the specified 3-4 days but they had a problem with my mailing address which happens frequently so I am used to this.

Strengths: fulfills its cable responsibilities without complaint.
Weaknesses: somewhat difficult to get the power adapter to connect to it at the right angle to get a charge using this cable.
Summary: I've been requested to write a review of this pice of cable that is 30 words or more in length. That kind of review is even longer than the cable itself, but here goes. This is a cable that works like a cable should. It is a handy tool for recovering your phone from botched seem edits, if you're into that kind of thing. Otherwise it just does what it's told. It is hard to get excited about this piece of technological wonderment.

Good enough to make 1 or two quick seems edits...Would't want to use everyday
Strengths: Works for the data part, although the physical connection to the phone is flaky and I kept finding myself having to reconnect it because it has fallen out
Weaknesses: The capability to charge the phone via connection to an OEM charger has never worked.
Summary: Since I used this cable once, to make a seem edit to enable Bluetooth OBEX on my e815, I really have no need for thiscable and that's why I'm not too upset about its flakiness. But if you plan to use it regularly, the idiotic design of the physical connectors will drive you crazy

Strengths: Quality construction, built-in retainer lock with release button, side port for connecting powered charger.
Weaknesses: Cable might be too long for some laptop users, but might also be too short for some desktop users. Software is required for use and is only available for Windows.
Summary: Highly recommended, especially if you'd like to be able transfer your own ringtones, pictures, backgrounds and screensavers to your phone, or vice versa. The built-in locking clip holds the cable securely to the phone.
It would be nice if there were software for other computing platforms, such as Mac OS X or Linux, but that doesn't have much impact on whether or not the cable itself works, which it does and quite well at that.

The Motorola phone data interface is poorly design ...
Strengths: Provides a USB connection for Motorola phones
Weaknesses: The phone side connection is not reliable
Summary: The Motorola phone data interface is poorly designed and the connection is unreliable. The cable itself is fine, and I can connect the phone to my computer as long as I carefully attach the cable to the phone, and do not let it move.

Strengths: ..Works Great
..Simply did its job
Weaknesses: ..Nothing that I can think of
Summary: I bought this for my E815 phone, and it did what it was supposed to do. I was trying to charge the phone while using it, I realize that only the portable charger would work with the charging slot on the side of this cable. I am satisfied!

Strengths: Motorola data cable which allows data exchange as well as charging via USB.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I'm using this cable with a Motorola MPX220 (Smartphone - Windows Mobile 2003). Bought this as a second cable, so I can leave one permanently plugged in to my office computer for syncing calendar, contacts, etc. The second cable goes in my bag, and can be used to transfer data / sync with my home computer or friends'. I can also plug this cable into my Boxwave Versacharger (which puts a USB port into a wall outlet / car / airplane charger), so I can recharge the phone pretty much anywhere. Very useful.

Strengths: Worked as intended, no problems.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: This cable is intended to connnect my Motorola phone to a USB connection. It worked from the get go and I had no problems with it. I like the fact that you can connect the phone power cord to this cable.
