Overall I'm very happy with this monitor. I've compared this to other 24" and I find this brighter and offers better contrast than some of the other 24" at store. Online reviews demonstrate this is better than the Dell 24". Dot pitch is 0.27mm which is great (better than 1920x1200 27" monitors which have dot pitch of 0.303 and one with even 0.309 - viewsonic 27.5") and images are very sharp.
Moreover this one has black-frame insertion (BFI) technology, aka AMA Z technology that helps eliminate ghosting. The downside is that this renders the overall picture darker, but that can be easily fixed with adjusting the brightness. You also don't want to use the 'perfect motion' when you're doing graphics or reading text as it produces a noticeable flicker on the monitor. HOwever it's a must for 1st person shooters and racing games.
Other features are the HDMI input, full 1080p support etc. You can hang your headphones on top, and I rest the front center speaker the 5.1 system on top of the monitor which you may not be able to do with other monitors and which I find very convenient
