nice kitchen/bedroom tv
Strengths: sleek, elegant design, screen good (most of the time)
Weaknesses: HDTV from terrestrial antenna not straightforward, screen requires adjustment
Summary: nice for a 2nd tv, screen needed some adjusting (angle & brightness) to get it just right (not so on my bigger sony lcd) takes 3 seconds to turn on (my sony takes 1.5, others can take 4-5 seconds) big remote, but nice has aspect/color settings on quick buttons have not gotten HDTV from my ariel antenna to work yet (a call to tech support went ok, they answered quickly, but since it is a new tv, they did not know much referred me to 2nd tier support 9-5pm) Considering a 2nd one, but perhaps with a dvd player--although this is the only white lcd I found

Strengths: Short enough to fit under a kitchen cabinet
Weaknesses: Hard to find the remote code that works with menus, etc.
Summary: We were looking for a kitchen TV that would fit under a limited cabinet space (height was the limitation) and had to sit on a Set Top Box (I guess this makes it a Set Bottom Box). This unit was on sale at Best Buy and had the 8ms response time I was looking for for sports. It worked out of the box and had a great picture. Note: I've seen some complaints about volume and audio quality, and at first I thought it might have too low an audio capacity, but I hooked it up to the "From the VCR" outputs of the Set Top Box and it seems just fine now, even notice the surround effect which is a new experience for our kitchen!
Very few manufacturers are still making white (Sharp was the other one). For kitchens, though, it seems like a good choice.
Nice design, I like this TV so far!

Samsung LN-T1954H
Strengths: Beautiful design, blends perfectly with white or off-white cabinetry. Nice picture, easy to use.
Weaknesses: I didn't get a very crisp picture using regular coaxial cable. I don't have HD on this cable jack, so I didn't expect it to be as clear as my tv with HD. However, it is no clearer than my old 13" tube
Summary: Great choice for kitchens and laundry rooms where watching tv is a secondary task. I love it for my laundry room, where I spend a ton of time. It just looks fantastic!

Strengths: Very nice picture quality.
Weaknesses: takes like 10 seconds before the TV turns on though.
Summary: Overall it is a sweet television for my young daughter. Beautiful picture, great connections, nice remote. The only thing I don't like is that it takes 10 seconds before the TV turns on. By then you click it twice and then a third time thinking it's off when in fact you just didn't wait long enough. Hopefully nobody call you and says "quick, turn on channel 10 to see the ..." by then the emergency is over. Again, other than that the TV is great. Picks up all the High Def with absolutely no problems. Capable of a large channel line-up and pretty nice features built into a small tv like that!

Strengths: HD-grade 1440 x 900 pixel resolution / ATSC Digital and NTSC Analog Tuners
Weaknesses: The contrast ratio is not as high as the 23". Audio is not the greatest!
Summary: white flat-panel LCD HDTV is an excellent choice for a bedroom TV. It has a high resolution, 1440x900. It has both a PC input as well as HDMI which is a major plus. It has both tuners built in. Samsung image quality for HD sources is very good. If the unit is accidentally set to Shop mode and you want to return to Dynamic (Home) mode, press the Volume button and then hold down the MENU button for five seconds on the side panel of the TV. I will be satisfied overall, but I don't expect this model to be as impressive as the larger Samsungs. Some channels and less than brilliant with others. It's a shame that a set with so many input possibilities (cable, antenna, component, HDMI, PC, s-video) can't have a true PIP that can swap between any two of them. I like the idea that With using only a roof top antenna, I can get excellent reception of HDTV.

Strengths: Sleek design
Connections
HDMI
Weaknesses: Backlight bleeding
Summary: This is a good size LCD HDTV for your kitchen, bedroom, or dorm room.
HD image looks good. It has a lot of standard connectors for your need.
Not recommended for graphic designer though because of its limited resolution.
My lcd has some backlight bleeding. Some said they don't experience that. So YMMV.

Good kithen HDTV set
Strengths: Design / picture / color (white)
Weaknesses: 10 x 16 aspect ratio
Summary: As I noticed, as a weakness, this set has a 10 x 16 aspect ratio - used mostly for computer monitors - this is the only thing I don't like about this tv - hd picture looks very good - maybe due to a smaller screen. This is a perfect kitchen hdtv set - very happy with it's performance for the purpose - I would not recommend this tv as your main hdtv unit - great for kitchen!
