Summary: 2007-04-17 07:36:08 As much as I would love to endorse this product, unless you are buying it to keep bait somewhat cold, I would avoid it at all costs. The minimum operating temperature is only 42.8 degrees. That means you couldn't even keep milk in this fridge. When I called Danby to figure out why they would make a fridge that doesn't actually refrigerate, I was told that it can also be used for wine. That's fine, but this unit is clearly designed for cans, which is why I bought it. If you enjoy pop and beer at only 25 degrees below room temperature, then I guess this is the fridge for you. I have this fridge in a 3 season room. It was about 80 degrees in the room yesterday and the fridge could only get down to 48 degrees.

Nice

Strengths: Glass window, capacity, convenience.

Weaknesses: Hard to say.

Summary: I bought the Danby Beverage Center instead of a mini-fridge because it looked cool and that's all I wanted it for anyways, beverages. I had seen a customers awful review after I had already bought it and was pretty worried. I stocked it and set the thermostat to the suggested setting. Initially, it took about one full day before the unit cooled the beverages. It had to break itself in.

I was delighted to find that my beverages were ice cold! I even stock it with a mixture of cans and bottles. One word of advice I would give is to set the thermostat closer to the maximum setting. I know that specs say that the unit cools down to 42 degress but I have actually measured the temperature of my beverages straight out of the unit and was happy to see that it was 37.6 degrees. That's how I like my favorite beverages to be, cold.

I could get more space stocking it with cans only but hey, when am I ever going to have this cool little beverage center stocked to capacity all the time? My wife loves it because she has more space in the actual refridgerator and I get the peace of having as many of my favorite beverages stocked and cold. All in all, this unit is not intended for food purposes. It says it all in the name, "Beverage Center". Give it a try. I am happy that I did.

Stay away, unless you like your drinks warm

Strengths: Styling, LED lights

Weaknesses: It doesn\\\'t cool

Summary: As mentioned above, the thermostat only goes to 43°. Unlike the post above, there is not a chance that my unit cools below that. everything coming out of it is warm. Perhaps if you only had a few items in it they would get cold, but mine is about half stocked and it just doesn\'t cool anything. Please stay away from this product. If you still believe you want it, contact me and I\'ll cut you a heck of a deal to get rid of mine. It is just serving as an expensive storage cabinet right now.
