Strengths: good picture, inexpensive, plays vcd's, quiet
Weaknesses: sometimes some DVD's seem to skip, but I believe it happens on most DVD's
Summary: Good picture on all DVD's I've seen. None have ever not worked, so far all DVD's have played fine on it. It's also quiet, sometimes I'm unsure that it's working or beginning to play because it makes no noise.

Strengths: CDR capable with an extremely crisp picture and its super quiet unlike other players. Simply the best buy for the money.
Weaknesses: None that matter
Summary: Pioneer outdoes itself once again. . . I have had no problems whatsoever and I recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a DVD player. Its a bit outdated now since the release of the DV-444 but make no mistake of it being the best player for the money.
