Strengths: Excellent product manual. Detailed step by step instructions. Easy on-screen menues and options. Very good picture quality. Very reasonable price for the quality and features this machine provides.
Weaknesses: I purchased this unit assuming that it had a built-in tuner. It didn't. I wish the features dialog would have spelled this out.
Summary: This recorder looks good. Slim design with a very bright and clear display that's visible from a distance of about eight feet from seating. I like the remote too. The set top box controller allows for recording TV programs to disc, but you must watch what you are recording.
