Strengths: Better taste (than regular/standard filter)
Weaknesses: Price.
Summary: Initially takes longer before can actually use the filter (has to run double the amount of water through the filter before the aftertaste goes away). Overall a better product than the standard one.

Strengths: Higher quality filtering than the standard KitchenAid/Whirlpool filter. You can taste the difference.
Weaknesses: Higher price.
Summary: While the Brita filter is more expensive than the standard filters it is worth it for the great tasting water. The filter is similar in design to the standard filter, thus very simple to install.
