Strengths: Menu ease of use, color excellent quality, more component hook-ups then you could possibly use.
Weaknesses: Haven't found any yet.
Summary: As this was my first HD TV I was unsure of what to expect. I found this TV very easy to set-up, the color and brightness was far better than a couple of friends HD TVs that I have viewed, and was even ipressed at the sound quality of the speakers. My first Toshiba product and would gladly buy again.

Strengths: Oustanding picture quality, plenty of picture options, easy to use menus, simple remote.
Weaknesses: No PIP, no DVI input, no manual labeling of A/V inputs.
Summary: 2007-06-03 21:42:07 I'm fully satisfied with the Toshiba LCD I bought. The picture is top-notch and only required a little adjustment to get it perfect with a calibration DVD. Watching movies with this TV is amazing. The setup menus are straight to the point, but contain enough advanced settings for the picture tweaks out there. I've experienced none of the slow-tuning annoyances that plagued owners of the previous 32HL66 model. Tunes to each channel just like any normal TV would. The remote control is easy and simple to use. The sleep timer is in a very convenient location (top left) for people that like to fall asleep watching TV. It also recognizes my PS2 as a DVD player with fully functional buttons. Toshiba's mute function is handy wherein one push lowers the volume to about 50% and another push completely removes volume.
.
The 32HL67 has 3 HDMI and 2 component inputs, which is enough to handle a multitude of digital sources. However, it lacks a DVI input which was a little disappointing, but the VGA input will do fine for me. It would be nice if it had picture in picture (PIP), although it is something I can live without. Another thing I wish it had was manual labeling of inputs. Instead of "GAME CONSOLE" it would be nice if I could name it "XBOX 360."
.
In the end, I wanted a 32" LCD with great picture quality from a well-known manufacturer for an unbeatable price. The Toshiba 32HL67 fits the bill.

Strengths: Excellent picture and sound, very easy to set-up. Multi-function remote control works very well. Glossy black cabinet has a great appearance.
Weaknesses: None found so far.
Summary: I upgraded to the Toshiba 32HL67 to replace a ten year old Toshiba 27" CRT TV. As I never had any problems at all with the old set, I decided to stick with the Toshiba brand and go with the 32" LCD. I am definitely not disappointed. The picture quality is outstanding and the stereo sound from the SoundStrip speakers is excellent. Colors are bright and vivid and you almost have 3-D effect. Set-up was very simple and the on-screen menus are easy to navigate and use. The remote control works very well and is multi-functional so I can control the TV, digital cable box and DVD recorder/player with the same unit. If you're looking for exceptional value, picture quality, sound and great appearnace in a 32" LCD TV then I highly recommend the Toshiba 32HL67.

Strengths: Numerous connections for hdmi, a/v, and component eguipment.Great picture and price. Easy to set up.
Weaknesses: Base does not swivel
Summary: The tv arrived double boxed for added protection during shipping. I liked that! The unit was easy to assemble to the base. The manual was easy to use to get up and running. In a few minutes I was watching cable tv. I didn't even have to program-in the cable channels. They were already there when I turned it on. The picture is good in analog. The non hd dvd's look really good also. I don't have hd programming yet. Had the unit for about a week. My grandson's love the game mode for their Xbox games. They noticed better detail and no lose of speed. No noticable blur during action games unless you look for it. I would purchase this tv again. Great features and value. Numerous adjustments for picture quality.

Strengths: Super easy to set-up; great picture
Weaknesses: No swivel
Summary: I purchased this TV because of the good reviews and great price (under $800), and so far I have not been disappointed. I just received it a few days ago, but it was very easy to assemble and the on-screen set-up was very easy. The picture is great, and although I haven't yet used all the audio and input features, they seem to cover whatever you could want.

Strengths: Nice Picture, great quality, and beautiful design.
Weaknesses: None so far. But heard of picture wash out from side angles more noticeable than other top ranked brands.
Summary: I bought mine through Buydig.com, was going to through Amazon but found a better deal.
After doing a little research, I found that Toshiba has the best price-to-quality ratio. While the top brands (namely Samsung, Sony, and Sharp) can easily set you back over $900, or even $1000, this one only cost $700-ish. There are a lot of thing I can mention, but I think it is better if you read some reviews from all over the place and that save me some time (I did my research mainly in Amazon and Newegg), since I'm gonna say mostly the same to those well written reviews.
Oh btw, just to give you some stat info, this thing is ranked #2 in all LCD HDTV's in Amazon, second only to Samsung 50" and beats all Sony Bravia, Sharp AQOUS, and other Samsung's listed.
32HL67 and 32HL67U are the same~! (go search "difference,toshiba,32HL67,32HL67U" on Google)
I have faith in Toshiba!

Strengths: -Very good for Standard TV signal.
-Excellent for gaming (xbox 360, ps3) HD-DVD is amazing.
-Very Detailed Customizable color levels (usually not on tv's in this price range)
-3 HDMI inputs
Weaknesses: -Does not pick up HD Channels automatically (need antenna)
-No Picture in Picture (not really a concern for me)
Summary: When I began my quest for my 1st HDTV, (I am 22 years old, recent college grad)I was definitely looking for a balance between price and quality.
I could have easily bought a no-name brand for around $400 from Fry's, based on its price only. However, I wanted a TV which would last and give me an enjoyable viewing experience for my entire range of viewing (gaming, dvds, hdtv).
I was comparing various models for months, only to see this TV among the other competition.
Samsung (best quality/Too expensive)
Sharp (good price/bad audio)
The Toshiba Regza held its ground with every review I read, and when I went to view the TV at Best Buy for half an hour, I was really locked in on buying this tv. For $648.50 I was able to pull the trigger from 6th ave.com
I am very satisfied with this purchase and it is definitely a good investment for a first time HDTV buyer.
If you purchase this TV you will definitely won't be disappointed.

Strengths: quality of picture and sound, cost, half-mute button, glow-in-the-dark remote
Weaknesses: stand doesn't swivel
Summary: We were going to wait until the price of LCD tv's and plasma tv's got lower and the quality stabilized. Unfortunately our bedroom tv broke and we were forced to buy a replacement. We realized that the technology had advanced significantly, and that the prices were now much more reasonable. In addition, we were offered a package deal from our cable provider which offered us many HDTV channels. We have thoroughly enjoyed the HD picture, especially sports and nature programs, and I'm very glad that we purchased it at this time.
The TV is great. Our biggest problem was getting digital cable to get it right, which was not the TV's fault.
Found that "auto-aspect" was the best way to get the best shaped and framed picture. The other "theater" settings all had their faults and are not worth bothering with.
I see the price is going down even more. If you want a 32" HD-TV, you won't go wrong with this one. It has to be at least as good if not better than any other choice.

russian roulette with regza
Strengths: was nice for a little over a year
Weaknesses: poorly made
Summary: TV was nice for a year and a half. The video board burned out which in turn blew out the lcd screen. Was only used about 4 hrs a week. Repair shop said it would cost as much as a new TV to fix. The tech also said it's poor design by Toshiba making the video board and screen as one part. Be careful, it's cheaper than the higher quality for a reason. My Sony has been around for 7 years, no problems.
I had extended warranty and they refunded me the entire cost of the TV instead of bothering with fixing it. That was surprising, so it must be a known common problem with Toshiba.

Strengths: Superb HD picture quality, excellent non-HD digital picture quality with an easy to use menu and setup function.
Weaknesses: None noted
Summary: 2007-12-11 18:14:25 This TV comes highly recommended and I endorse that recommendation wholeheartedly. I am very impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the product and its ease of operation. It has 3 HDMI input jacks for ease of connectivity with other HD devices, numerous composite and component video jacks in the rear and side of the unit. It also allows for stereo connectivity through available audio jacks on the rear panel. The mute button allows for 50% or 0% sound muting. Very impressive TV that hasn't disappointed!!

Strengths: almost everthing
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I bought this TV after seeing one in a mall and like the quality. Before this purchase, I bought one made by ViewSonice and one made by Samsung. The one from ViewSonic was a totally disappointment, and the one from Samsung was good. But, this one is far better than both. Toshiba does not disclose its contract ratio, but it is better comparing to Samsung's 7000:1, and the price is even better. I am happy with it.

Strengths: Super easy set-up and menu. Excellent picture and sound (especially w/ HD service). Classy and sleek black frame around screen gives look of shiny piano keys.
Weaknesses: Side view is a bit distorted. No swivel stand.
Summary: You could not get better quality for this price! Perfect for our smaller livingroom. Just installed dish network w/ HD - excellent sound and picture! All on/off buttons/input for cables hidden - looks like sleek piece of decor! Love it!

Strengths: Very cheap, 3 HDMI inputs, excellent HD picture
Weaknesses: None thus far
Summary: This is a great cheap HD flat panel purchase for someone looking for a screen that is JUST big enough for their main tv area. The picture can get a little jostled during fast moving pictures, but nothing too noticeable.

Great TV (while it worked).....HORRIBLE customer service!
Strengths: Good sound and picture. Can be used as a PC monitor.
Weaknesses: Worst customer service I've ever had to experience...and after 30 days, they still can't give me an ETA on the needed part!
Summary: I tried typing this once and it got lost, so I'll just keep it short. I had the TV for 8 months and loved it. The picture went out and it's been a nightmare ever since! The people you have to call at Toshiba are extremely rude and cannot (will not?) help you in any way. The "in home warranty" is a flat out LIE. The TV has been dead for 30+ days and Toshiba still can't give me, or the service provider, an ETA of when the part can be expected. Oooooh, how I wished I had only spent a few dollars more and went with a Sony or LG! If you decide to get this TV...don't say I didn't warn you about their customer service. In the meantime, those of you who already have this TV...I'll pray for you!
