Being able to watch the old VHS tapes and new DVD's from the same machine is very simple. It does the job well! We love it! I highly recommend this for consumers like us who have tons of vhs tapes lying around! It is easy to install also. Just a great all around product from Toshiba. Weaknesses: No Tv Tuner. Summary: Just another great product from Toshiba. It is very hard to beat the quality and the price that Toshiba can sell there products for. Overall I rank this device 9 out of 10. jt2usc Member Since: Dec 2006 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 3 Days	Okay Product Strengths: Price, DVD recorder and VCR combo in once package Weaknesses: This unit doesn't have a NTSC/ATSC turner Summary: The player is easy to set up and works well. The playback quality is good, but have problem with scratched disks seem to suffer from more skip than other players produce. The recording function easy to use and works extremely well.
