 Bad, worse, worst customer service from ViewSonic Strengths: Prightness, Response Time
Weaknesses: backlight and Color reliability
Summary: I value ViewSonic brand so I bought one VA721 from Office Depot during Thanksgiving time last year. Unfortunately either the backlight or one of the RGB color was broken in about 1.5 months so that the screen looks very weird. I am an engineer and I understand this will happen sometimes. I called the customer service. I told them that I understand this and just want to get this fixed and I got Advanced Replacement permit to replace the broken one. The representative said I should receive the replacement in about 3 days. This is all good.
So I waited for about a week, but I did not receive the replacement. I called again. The representative said they are still trying to allocate one unit for me (I thought ViewSonic make LCD monitor, am I right?) and should be available in next several days. So I waited another week and but I did not receive it. I called third time and I was promised to have one tomorrow. OK, I can live with that. However, I did not have my unit in 3 days not even a confirmation email. So I called again. By now I was really upset so I requested to talk to the manager. The representative told me the manager's name is John, but the manager said his name is Mike (a fake one?! whatever). The manager did not have any patience to listen to me but promise me to ship one unit for me by next Monday. Ok, whatelse can I do other than taking their words?
Eventually I got my unit in about a month after I first called. Guess what I got? A LCD monitor made in May 2004 with scratch everywhere around the body of the monitor and even had greese on the power cord. My VA721 was made in August 2005 and it's almost brand new. So I called again and got another Advanced Replacement permit. Now it is about another month and I haven't heard anything from them and haven't got anything either. I am tired of calling them. I will see how long I will have my second replacement back and I will keep you guys posted.
I will never buy ViewSonic products again and I will tell my friend so too.

Strengths: brightness,response time, and warranty
Weaknesses: no dvi
Summary: This has been an excellent monitor. I have used it for about a month now and I am extremley satisfied. My old LCD would have ghosting when watching movies and playing gmaes, but I haven't had that problem with the viewsonic. For the money this is one of the nicest LCD's available.

Strengths: Sleek design, bright color, easy to set up. Also, I got a newer version which has 8ms respond time, really good quality.
Weaknesses: No dvi input, couldn't adjust the hight of the monitor.
Summary: Overall, this is a very good product with hight qualit and nice design. The graphic is bright and clear. A very good product for daily use if not considering about the DVI input.

Strengths: Very nice and sharp picture, Slick design
Weaknesses: no DVI
Summary: I paid $160 at officemax for this and I am very pleased with it. If you don't care for DVI (Like me as I am using it with my laptop) you will be satisfied buying this.

Strengths: No Dead Pixel. Brilliant
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Viewsonic has always come through with true color reproduction. The added bonus for this monitor is the low 8 ms response time. There is no DVI but I think it DVI is oversold. There is little or no backlight coming through the edges of the screen unlike other high brightness monitors.

Strengths: Slick design, good brightness
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I have had this unit for 3 months now and got it at a higher price. It is a great unit for almost anything I use including the games I play, photoshop, and excel stuff that I do. ViewSonic makes the best monitor out there since they are one of the largest display company in the world. I have read it that they only use exclusively ViewSonic panels that are the best in the world. ViewSonic is getting the best panels for its branded monitors. I highly recommend this monitor.

Strengths: Clear, bright and good color.
Weaknesses: NO DVI
Only 1 year warrenty.
Summary: I paid $160+tax from officemax. So far I am quite happy with this monitor. Bright, good color and no dead-pixels. The only weakness about this monitor is no DVI. But at this price, it is great value.

Strengths: Super bright and sharp color, ultra sleek design, quick response time, perfect for video and game!!!
Weaknesses: no DVI
Summary: I got it on a bargain, and have been very happy with it. Much better color than the Norcent one I replaced. And the design is slim and space saving, loved it!!!

Strengths: Good colors, bright, fast coming out of standby, wall mountable, small bezel.
Weaknesses: No complaints.
Summary: I am using this monitor on a daily basis and am very satisfied with it's performance. I am considering getting another one to run dual monitors side by side.

Strengths: Very affordable, Great design, extremely brilliant colors, saves space
Weaknesses: video cable is built into the unit...don't break one of the pins.
Summary: I bought this monitor to use with a laptop. I originally bought the monitor because I had several gift certificates to blow at OfficeMax and it was on sale with 2 additional rebates...Final cost was almost $150. Now that I have the monitor, I can honestly say it is worth twice what I paid. I have an LG LCD positioned next to my Viewsonic and the Viewsonic is much brighter. Safe purchase, very pleased.

Strengths: Bright, Clear, Sleek design, precise colors, save desk space
Weaknesses: so far none.
Summary: I was shopping for a LCD Monitor, compare different models. Yes, there are many model selling at a lower price, the lowest I found was $150 after rebate. I paid $200 after rebate for VA721 at OfficeMax. For $50 more, this monitor is MUCH MUCH better in brightness and colors. Happy with my purchase.

Strengths: Excellent Display with great price.
Weaknesses: Nothing so far.
Summary: Response time, Weight and Brightness is what I have liked with all Viewsonic LCD monitors and this model has kept its tradition. All three aspects are great and price I paid with Officemax was also great.
