Strengths: Windows XP Pro, not a Vista; very fast
Weaknesses: Small viewing angle of monitor; poor sound quality
Summary: 2007-06-01 05:17:41 Wrote on 5/3/2007:

I skip all Vista notebook PCs due to the reliability and compatibility issues, and this PC comes with Windows XP Pro. This PC is faster than my Pentium D 2.8 Hz desktop (Dell 9150), but the monitor has small viewing angle; if tilt over to certain degrees, the monitor is difficult to read; and the sound quality is the worst I ever heard from a PC (desktop or notebook)

Edited on 6/1/2007:

After using it for 1 month, I get used to the monitor. It is good enough for a notebook (compare with other notebooks), though not as good as my desktop's.

I still can not get used to the poor sound quality!!

Strengths: Windows XP Pro, high performance, has finger-print, touchpad and trackPoint, spill-protected
Weaknesses: Right Ctrl is missing, all the ports are on the back side
Summary: 2007-09-03 19:15:13 I was searching for a notebook with Windows XP pre-installed, not Vista and there are only a few.

My desktop is Celeron 2.4 GHz and is not comparable to Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz.

There can be a large topic about the finger-print feature built-in. I'll only say that every your finger is your pass to any secure place on your computer or on the Web. Hence, there's no need to retype your passwords (I would recommend to memorize them anyway though) and user names, staying secure without this annoying routine.

The trackPoint is more convenient for those who can touch-type and there is an option to disable touchpad, trackPoint or both. And there are quite a few things you can do with the touchpad besides scrolling pages and moving the cursor.

The laptop is claimed to be spill-protected and also it protects the HDD from breaking after fall.

On the downside is the keyboard layout. If you can touch-type you will miss right Ctrl key. It's the most annoying for me about the laptop in the whole. I still try to get used to it. Left Ctrl is fortunately on its place, on the left to Fn key.

All the ports are on the back side due to the protection level but by now it doesn't affect me at all, though many will find it annoying.

I must confess, I cannot judge the sound quality, 'cause I am too bad in sounds :) So, I find it fare and don't need any more quality.
