Summary: I've been using this cam for several days and it's very easy to operate. Als the more advanced options are easy to access. Image stabilizing is very good, great for indoor-photos at low light.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30

Strengths: Small size, 28mm lens, very easy to set up and use, fast startup and shutter lag, large LCD and image stabilization

Weaknesses: no optical viewfinder

Summary: This little camera is very easy to use right out of the box, even for someone like myself who has not had a lot of photographic experience. It is light weight, and is very fast operating. It has a large LCD and simple to use controls.

I have only had the camera for a few days, but the pictures I've taken so far have been very satisfactory. The image stabilization appears to work very well. It has a lot of good features for such a low price. It would be nice if it also had an optical viewfinder.
