 Nice handling little radio with great feature list ... Strengths: Many features that are useful. Compact size. Good battery life.
Weaknesses: Bad "off-mic" static when releasing send key. Less receive range than some others.
Summary: Nice handling little radio with great feature list. My son and I were recently asked to not use ours on a hunting trip with 12 other hunting mates. The noise when releasing the mic after sending a message was so irritating and seemed to travel off of the receiving party's ear bud so far that it was disrupting the hunting. The other brands being used didn't exhibit this behavior. I also noticed numerous times when I was standing with others who were receiving messages from others at the outer ranges and I was not getting the message on my Cobra 310. My son and I were using a pair of the Cobras and they both behaved this way, so I'm certain it was the radio design and not a single unit defect sort of situation.
