Strengths: 7mp camera for under 150, Optical Image stabilization
Weaknesses: no audio in a video mode
Summary: This is a nice little camera, I like it. Picture quality is OK, flash is excellent. Has built in memory for a dozen pictures, SD card slot for the rest. Optical Image Stabilization is a nice plus, it really works. Unfortunately, in a video mode, audio is not recorded. 2 inch LCD is enough to see pictures clearly.

Strengths: Easy to use, lightweight and trusted name brand.
Weaknesses: No audio on movies. My previous camera did have sound, so that was a step back.
Summary: (sorry i actually bought the LS75, but they are not much different) :} Overall I like this camera. Everything is easy to find and is not complicated like others are. It's been a while since i've bought a new digital camera (last one was 3.1 megapixels) so it is a nice change and don't have to deal with buying other specifice types of SD cards such as Fuji.

2 Star ReviewNot worth it
Strengths: slim, LCD
Weaknesses: pic quality
Summary: Picture quality is awful. I have other panasonic cameras which I love greatly. This one is not worth the money, even at around $140. Regardless of ISO, the picture looks awful.

Built in lens cap, lcd, and use of SD are great. Uses 2AA batteries, which is good if you travel a lot. Camera is pretty slim, will fit easily in pants pocket.

I would rather look at a TZ2, LZ6, LZ7.

Strengths: Easy to learn, has proven surprisingly tough, and a competent snap shooter. Rear button placement easily useable
Weaknesses: no stops on the mode wheel on top (hard to set quickly in low light), so so low light performance
Summary: It surprisingly accepted a 4G HDSD card when my 1G died.. Took some credible eclipse shots thru my 10X50 binoculars (in the sunset mode). A little over 6800 shots so far and am especially pleased with the shots taken from moving motorcycle..the stabilizer works. It's no LZ8, but it has survived several nasty tumbles and has impressed even a few N***N snobs. Wish the e-zoom worked on higher rez.

Strengths: Best small camera for the money, excelent camera
Weaknesses: No sound in video mode, lag time between pictures
Summary: It is nice and small and has all of the features I need. A 3X zoom is fine for the events I mentioned and at 7.2MP, the picture quality is excellent. It is also the only camera I found in this price range that had anti-shake technology. It has many options for flash, as well as a variety of shooting modes (like sunset, macro, portrait, sports and so on.) There are thinner cameras on the market, but at about 1.2 inches, it's still nice, small and lightweight.

Just small enough to fit in your pocket but still large & heavy enough to give you a solid comfortable feel. Easy to use great picture right out of the box. Excellent value comparing price to quality of picture. It will be hard to find a better camera for a beginner or novice experence person looking for a digital camera.

It has a couple of negatives. There is no sound in video mode. Only complaint is the lag time between pictures.
