Strengths: Portable, easy to transfer from car to car. Fully charge in less than 1 hour.
Weaknesses: Sometime the speaker sound is distorted but still acceptable. A couple of time the voice command didn't work, may be too noisy in the car.
Summary: If you don't want to go with full installation bluetooth car kit, this is one of the best bluetooth portable speaker. It is a duplex unit, you can speak and listen at the same time. The price that I got from Malcom is excellent. I would highly recommend this unit. The actual unit is a lot smaller than in the picture.

Strengths: Good distance. Understands voice commands well. Little to no distortion. No RF bleed or crackle.
Weaknesses: None that I have found.
Summary: I received the first unit and it didn't work out of the box. The company I purchased from was pretty quick about turn around on this item. Once I received it I followed the instructions, charged it and then once charged, connected it to my phone. It worked great. I then disconnected from my Moto V600 and connected it to my wifes Moto V600 flawlessly. It also set up easily with my Dell Axim X30. This should be a all around easy use item.

It also has a crisp clear sound and was pretty much distortion free.

Strengths: Connects very quickly to the cell phone and stays connected.
Weaknesses: The speaker is small is difficult to hear if there is road or wind noise. Battery stand-by time could be longer.
Summary: I purchased the unit for use in the car and on my motorcycle. In the car the unit works well, although the speaker is a little weak. If you are hard of hearing, like me, the unit's volume is not quite adequate. The unit has port to connect a headset, which I use to connect to the intercom system on my motorcycle. Using the headset port the unit sounds great and provides a way to use the voice commands on the cell phone. For me, the blinking blue light assures me the unit is connected and is ON. The battery is small and lasts only about 4 hours on standby. I use the car charger to recharge the unit and usually just leave it plugged in. If you talk allot, the battery lasts about 1 hour of talk time. All-in-all, it is a good unit and I am satisfied with my purchase.

Strengths: Simple to use, Reasonable sound quality even in the car, Highly portable, Short charging time
Weaknesses: Too many functions built into one button (if someday I want to use them)
Summary: The sound quality of this speaker is much better than the Jabra SP100 that I tried first. The Jabra was good at home with very good volume control at home, but was lousy in the car. The voice was breaking too much to be even usable. Finally returned it and got this one.

The sound quality of this one is great at home and quite reasonable in the car. Helps me drive handsfree. Although my phone has a speakerphone this one is much better.

Although took a couple of attempts to pair it with my phone(which is only a one time deal), it is really simple to use.

Don't know why Motorola built so many functions into that one button, but I guess those who use them will figure it out.

Charging time is also short.

Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to use his bluetooth phone handsfree.

Strengths: sound quality & cost
Weaknesses: not very intuitive for some functions
Summary: this car kit is a great buy for less than 30 bucks. basic functions are easy just like more headsets, but the other functions will require a review of the booklet. i haven't had any other kits, but this one works great. i just turn the radio off & the sound is fine, even though i have a loud high flow intake & exhaust.

Strengths: Loud enough on max setting, easy to pair, compact.
Weaknesses: Cool blue light is always doing something. So if you get sick of that...too bad :-). Also, sometimes there is crackling interference but rarely. Best application is probably in car or when you are on a conf call with cell and need to do other stuff.
Summary: This product is exactly what I expected. Motorola built a nice unit here. If you need a portable speaker, your speakerphone on your cell is weak or you want to conserve battery on your cell while using a speakerphone this unit is really good. It is loud enough though if your car is loud it might be a tad hard to hear some times. Also the usual problem with lots of BT devices that there is a slight delay when answering. All in all I would get it again. I'm sure they will be coming out with headsets that have caller ID and I'll be getting one of those too but having a speakerphone independent of my cell is conveneient.

Strengths: Quality sound. Compact size. Clips to sun visor. Automatic shut-off. Long battery life.
Weaknesses: None noted.
Summary: I love my HF-800 Bluetooth Speaker. I get good, quality sound, and the other parties can hear me clearly also. I set my phone for auto-answer when connected to the speaker, and set a special ring tone. When I hear the special ring, all I have to do is answer. It also turns itself off when your phone gets out of range. Many states are now requiring hands free devices while driving, and I have friends who have spent several hundred dollars for hard wired cradles which are no good once they upgrade their phones. This device is economical and works with any bluetooth. The roads are also safer because I no longer have to scramble for my cell while driving!

3 Star ReviewNice and affordable bluetooth car kit
Strengths: Light weight, smart design, redial function, mute function, 3-way calls. No installations needed.
Weaknesses: No car charger included, no option to stick it on a surface, blinking blue light.
Summary: This is an overall good product with some weaknesses. It serves the purpose of handfree speaker phone in car. Being wireless is a good advantage. It remains connected to bluetooth phone, hence no time delay in call conections.

3 Star ReviewDecent
Strengths: Louder than cell phone's speaker. Portability
Weaknesses: Flashing bluetooth light gets annoying.
Summary: First off I'd like to comment that this doesn't decrease the battery life of my phone by much at all. It's not a fault of the device but the phone itself because bluetooth does take a lot of power. and a FYI the phone I am using this with is the Sony Ericsson s710a.

The cons:

Flashing blue light gets tiresome after a while because it is too bright. There should be an option to turn it off or something. The device froze on my a couple of times and wouldn't connect with my phone. I had to leave it on until the battery drained before the device turned off and I was able to recharge and reconnect with my phone. The device is slightly heavier than I expected. 3 hour battery talk time life of the device isn't long enough for me. Body design doesn't look that great.

The Pros:

I am able to have a speaker with me and leave my cell phone charging at the same time. 1 watt speaker is louder than my phone's speaker, but I've been told from the other end that my phone's mic makes me sound louder than this device's mic. Easy connection setup with my cell phone. You can use the speaker while it is charging.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this product to people who have a decent speaker on their phone already. If bettery life is important I'd recommend getting the newer model of this because the newer one boasts 6 hour talk time.

Strengths: clear and loud sound,
Weaknesses: too big to carry around, blue light keeps on blinking
Summary: it is a nice replacement of earphone when driving a car; loud enough to hear voice even with window opened. once it connects with a phone, it cannot be turned off until disconnect from the phone; other than that i really enjoy it.

Strengths: good signal strength, charges fast, good sound quality
Weaknesses: unit could be smaller
Summary: The moto HF800 is absolutely excellent for those who want to take advantage of the wireless setup in their car. Unless you get a car charger, you are going to have to take it out of the car to charge it. It's easily transferrable and wearable on the belt with included case, but I don't see much use for walking around with a speakerphone outside-great in an office if you don't want to walk around with a headset.

Strengths: Great handfree cordless speaker device.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: This is a great hadfree speaker device for a bluetooth enabled phone. It is great to use in the car instead of a expensive complete handsfree car kit. I do not like to have the bluetooth in my ear all the time so I have this as a alternative and it is great.
