1 Star ReviewCan I give zero stars?
Strengths: Nothing
Weaknesses: Graphics, gameplay, controls
Summary: This game is terrible. I don't really know how else to describe it. The graphics look like they are from an 8-bit system, the controls are heavy, and the game play is extremely too hard, even in 'normal' mode. Save your money.

3 Star Reviewgood concept, yet frustrating at times.
Strengths: stealth action, good storyline, short cut scenes
Weaknesses: game controls, load times, graphics, saving game doesnt save properly.
Summary: I played splinter cell when it came out for the regular xbox before and i enjoyed it so i picked up this game for the ps3 thinking it would be better with better quality graphics. i was wrong. i didnt find the graphics to be anything spectacular and i found the game controls to be very frustrating, especially when you are in the water. Mind you i just got done playing metal gear solid so maybe this review is somewhat biased since that game was ridiculously good. But eve still, i found the game controls on this game would give me a headache and frustrate me just because i found it hard to maneuver him, especially in the water as i said. The load times for the cut scenes and the beginning when first installing the game onto the ps3 are quick, but when you die and are trying to play again it takes forever to load. i saved my game during game play and during the one sitting of the game everything saves properly but if i save it at a certain point and come back to play again in 2 days or so, it starts at a point previous to where i saved it which really sucks because then i have to go and do all the things and kill all the men i already did, again this is frustrating. IN any case the game is a pretty decent game just needs some work. I would say rent it to see if you like it and then purchase it.

Strengths: Solid stealth action game play, full online/multiplayer support, Michael Ironside is Sam Fisher, trust system requires thinking before you act, online play is free
Weaknesses: Weaker visuals than Xbox port, frame rate issues, long load times
Summary: Double Agent marks the Splinter Cell series' first appearance on the PS3, and while it's a decent enough showing, Double Agent doesn't take advantage of the PS3 hardware and bares all the classic markings of a quick and dirty port.

Double Agent is missing a number of lighting and shadow effects seen in the Xbox 360 port, and the frame rate stutters and the load times suffer more on the PS3. Given the stronger PS3 hardware, there is simply no excuse for these problems. Publisher Ubisoft simply didn't care enough to spend the time or money to port this title over the way it should have.

If PS3 is your only next-gen system, Double Agent offers a decent outing for the Splinter Cell series. If you own an Xbox 360 though, you'll probably want to spring for that version as it looks and plays better in general. If you don't subscribe to Xbox Live, the PS3 port's issues may be worth putting up with in trade for the free online play.

Strengths: Game plots and Game control
Weaknesses: Graphics
Summary: If you love MGS series, you are going to love to play this game. It is similar to MGS series with different taste. This game is more action oriented than MGS series, but similar things: tight game plots, good game control, and enjoyable audio effects. But I think its graphics is not so good for a shooting game. But overall, it is a good and fun game.

Strengths: fun to play Stealth game, good multiplayer mode
Weaknesses: frame rate is not so good as Xbox 360
Summary: I like this game. It is fun to play: Stealth moves, fast actions, and shooting all work well in this game. Game control is smooth and storyline is tight. One thing I noticed that I don't like is its frame rate. I also played Xbox 360 version, but the latter one is better than this PS3 version, so graphics is not that sharp at times, even though not every time. Still I think this is a decent game, I can recommend this game to everyone.
