Strengths: strong subwoofer, balanced sound, stylish design with removable grilles, and remote control.
Weaknesses: none that I can think of, but like others said, the wires are not removable, however, having limited space in college dorm, it doesn't bother me at all.
Summary: I've been looking for speakers for months. I was planning on spending about 50-60 on my new set. Logitech X-230 2.1 Speaker System was one of my top choices, however, its sound quality is nothing like what you would get from the Z-3i. The sound from 3i is impressive, nothing like what you would expect from a $25 set. I've heard sounds that I've never heard before from my music. I'm extremely satisfied! I will definitely go for more Logitech speakers in the future.

Strengths: powerful bass, clear sound quality, easy setup, nice style.
Weaknesses: short wires
Summary: I was looking for a cheap speaker to attach to my notebook. I am glad I made the right decision. I highly recommend it for all basic users. It delivers a very nice sound quality and rich base (I personally need lots of it). The only problem is the short wires, would also prefer a wireless volume control. For the price under $30.00, you can't go wrong.

Strengths: Good sounds
Weaknesses: Wires all connected together
Summary: It's a very good product for it's price. I would recommend you to buy this product. The sounding of this product is good but the wires on the back are all connected. if you plan to seperate them then this product isn't for you.

Strengths: nice design and good sound quality
Weaknesses: wiring is too short
Summary: After doing research online and read the reviews from others, I decide to buy this speaker. I got paid back by the wonderful clear sound. Also, the design of the speaker is nice. Silver color is good for either my computer or my TV.

Strengths: Good bass, nice silver look, sound quality is good. Good speaker system for the price.
Weaknesses: wiring is too short, can't place the speakers/subwoofer very far apart from each other. Sound quality is good but not the best.
Summary: This speaker system is very good for the price, but if you want high quality sound, go for something more expensive. By no mean is this system comparable to Bose, but again, consider the cheap price, it's well worth it.

Strengths: Sound quality, headphone jack on wired remote, slick looking, heavily built and good quality satellites, removable speaker covers for satellites, Logitech quality.
Weaknesses: Subwoofer volume knob is on the back of the subwoofer, and that's all I can think of.
Summary: 2005-06-02 20:10:51 I bought this speaker system at Amazon for $38 (shipping was free) after a $20 mail-in rebate. The sound quality of the satellites and subwoofer are amazing. I also own the Logitech Z-640 and those are excellent speakers too. The subwoofers of the Z-3i and the Z-640 are virtually the same size. The satillites on the Z-3i are about 1.5 times the height of the satellites on my Z-640 and the satellites of the z-3i are a little thinner in width than the Z-640. These speakers are great if you’re cramped for room. The silver and white color of these speakers looks great. I have purchased several Logitech products and haven't been disappointed yet! You can't go wrong with these speakers.

Strengths: Powerful subwoofer and nice looking design
Weaknesses: If these were wireless, that'll be grand. But other than the annoying wires, this system's fine.
Summary: 2006-01-06 06:30:10 I upgraded from my Altec Lansing A425 speakers that came with my Dell computer and it was a good thing I did. Undoubtedly these are quality speakers at a bargain price. The sound quality is great, no complaints yet. These are perfect fit for my dorm room. Thanks Logitech!

Strengths: The speaker sounds great, especially the sound of the subwoofer. It's easy to set up
Weaknesses: no the midrange sound
Summary: I bought the new Z-3i 2.1 Speaker to replace my 4 year old Dell speaker. Compared with the sound from the old speaker, the sound of Z-3i 2.1 Speaker is terrific.

I like the look of the speaker. It's stylish with a sharp brushed aluminum look.

It is very easy to set up. It only takes me less than 10 minutes in setting up.

3 Star ReviewGood budget speaker set
Strengths: Solid subwoofer,
Weaknesses: gets somewhat washed out at high volumes, somewhat cheap construction on the satellites (but not unexpected)
Summary: I purchased this speaker set for my wife to replace her old set of tincan speakers, so for her it is a fabulous improvement. It is a good set, and for the price I can't complain too much, but I have an older Logitech speaker set that I paid a little bit more for and is much better (also a 2.1 set). This is a good bargain basement set, but spring an extra $10-20 and get a higher quality set. The 1/8" speaker to left/right RCA cable that was included was nice.

Strengths: Great sound coming from only 2 speaks and love the handy volume knob / headphone base thingy. Perfect.
Weaknesses: Absolutely nothing.
Summary: Nice and heavy footed stands, removable speak covers, love the silver/white color concept, sub-woof kicks, all the cords are long enough and it's a Logitech product - enough said. Everything is grand.

Strengths: cute, powerful
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: It is cute and powerful enough for personal use. Compared to 5.1 system, it is smaller and can save more room. I like the remote althought it is not wireless. It is perfect one for my PC.

Strengths: aesthetically pleasing, headphone output on the control panel
Weaknesses: sub control on back of sub obviously not a high end speaker system (but that's not what you get these for anyways)
Summary: I decided to "upgrade" from logitech z540's to this set when these were on sale for $30 from Amazon. As a 2.1 set, it takes up less room and there is less tangle to deal with. I love the control accessory, which has a power button, master volume (no subwoofer power), and a headphone output. This means I no longer have to REEEEEEEEEEEACH to the front right speaker to turn on/off or adjust the volume. Plus the headphone output allows late nite use without complaints. The bass control is on the back of the sub, which may be a turn-off for some.

I've just used these to play a few games, movies, and songs...for my use, the price is justified by the product. These are great for casual users that are not audiophiles.

Strengths: sound quality, metalic and nice design, price, headphone jack
Weaknesses: subwoofer volume control is at the back of the subwoofer.
Summary: I was looking for a basic, not-so-powerful speaker system for my desktop. After getting disappointed with some other cheaper systems, I found these Logitech speakers on Amazon for $29.99. great price, great design, great sound quality. what can I say!

Strengths: Looks great, sound great
Weaknesses: Like other reviewers, the sub volume is hard to reach
Summary: I decided to spend a little more and instead of getting the X-230s, I opted for these, and I'm really glad I spent the extra couple of bucks. Along with the $20 rebate, this is a great deal.

Strengths: Inexpensive and good looking. Remote makes control more convenient
Weaknesses: The audio cord, left speaker, right speaker, and control are all connected by one wire, so it makes quite a mess of cords.
Summary: 2005-08-18 20:15:42 I bought these, and they're a very nice set. I paid more than other 2.1 speaker systems, but I'm very satisfied with what I got. They look good on my desk and they sound just as good. For it's price, I'd say I got a very good deal.
