Strengths: Great product. Easy to use. Excellent clarity.
Weaknesses: Low Digital camera resolution and bit wider than the Mini DV.
Summary: This is one of the excellent camcoder with the zoom and clarity that it has got for the price. Its easy to use and the DVD capability allows the ease of use and I was just able to use the camcoder without reading any manual. The operation of camcoder was straight forward and easy.

Strengths: easy to use, small, 40X zoom
Weaknesses: low digital photo resolution
Summary: takes great video and easy to use. 40 X zoom is great.
The small controls on the touch screen are a bit difficult for big fingers but I ok for me. I'd recommend it so far. Had it over a month and videoed several things and all turned out well.

Strengths: 40X Zoom - easy to use
Weaknesses: Haven't found any except I am still working on copying dvds for view on large DVD disc
Summary: I purchased this camcorder due to the 40X zoom and photo capabilities. I took it to Disney for Christmas and really liked how it took photos and movies of the lights and parades. It was easy to handle, easy to switch from video to camera funtion and 40X zoom was out of this world. Was easy to switch functions for day, night, sports and sun/snow features. Usually camcorders are not good at taking still photos but this one did VERY well.

Strengths: 1. the zoom is amazing (40x optical zoom) 2. lightweight and easy to carry in a pocket 3. satifying nightshot 4. easy to operate (touch screen) 5. Good video quality.
Weaknesses: 1. The language choice of menu is limited (no aisa language) 2. The body material looks earier to be worn, compared to other Sony camcorders.
Summary: I bought this one for my father. He likes it very much and he uses it often when he hikes and walks. The video quality is better than expected and it is very easy to carry and can be put into a pocket. The menu is easy to operate with touch screen. The only thing he is confused about is too many DVD media formats (DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD+R). It seems that different media requires a little bit different operations, which is not a convenient thing for an old man to remember.

Strengths: we can take pics and movie at same time in two different media.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I love it. My husband gave me as christmas present for year 2007 before christmas on 11/23/07 and I loved it. It is so light weight. I like Sony products. before we had sony camcorder with mini cassates. but I like this better for it's quality, lightweight, compact and price.

Strengths: Small size for perfect companion, compact, easy to hold and carry. Digital zoom is great and picture is very clear even in very dark areas.
Weaknesses: No hard drive
Summary: I think overall it is a great camera/camcorder for the price; excellent digital zoom, clear picture and it allows you to record directly to those mini DVD. Easy to use.

Strengths: Easy to use, handy.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I bought this camcorder around thanksgiving and have been loving it since then. Very handy to use and the results are just awesome. It quickly closes the DVD and I can then immediately watch it on my laptop or dvd player. No issues so far.

 DVD 108 Strengths: Small
Weaknesses: No automatic light adjustment, my regular camcorder, the built in light came on automatically when needed.
Summary: Inside still and video pictures were both good and too dark. I am finding correct lighting inside difficult, but probably will improve with pratice. Conversation with customer relations confirm the above.

Strengths: recommendations from camera professionals,
Weaknesses: hav'ent heard of any from reading past reviews
Summary: This was bought as a C0hristmas gift for my son and daughter in law. as they now have a 6 month old little girl. my first granddaughter. I'm hoping that we all benifit from them having the camera. I especially like the low light no light abilities. as she is really camera shy. the stabilization feature is good and being able to do double sided disks is great. the rest of the family bought all of the extras bag, disks, tripod, etc so this is really a family gift. I'm sure they will love having it.

 Support Inadequate Strengths: Camcorder works well
Weaknesses: Customer support terrible
Summary: Disc that came with purchase was faulty- no software on disc. No support on site search, software update not helpful, live chat not helpful, telephone support line, did not help.
Their solution was = re-BUY the software that I already paid for when I bought the handycam.

Strengths: The Great ease of use. The lightness of the whole camera.
Weaknesses: The zoom is in a bad spot. it is usually were you rest your finger so i was zooming in and out alot. at first
Summary: I had a JVC mini-dv (750.00 three years ago) it was not easy to use. I barely used it at all.I got the SONY DVR-DVD108 HandyCam for x-mas and have been through 7 discs already and none are sony discs either.
