Strengths: Picture is very rich on HD channels, plays back DVDs with great color and sharpness, good amount of inputs including 2 HDMI, 1 PC, 2 Component and 2 Composite
Weaknesses: SD tv is noisy and not as sharp.
Summary: Got this TV today and put it through the paces. First scanned for channels and the auto setup was a snap. I correctly found all the channels over my cable plus many unencrypted QAM Digital channels. HDTV broadcasts are rich in color and very detailed on this set. Like all LCD it's one weakness is that contrast and blacks are not as deep as on plasma (but plasma does not have the detail this set has). While debating on plasma vs. LCD I settled on this set because I wanted detail and the black levels are good enough (not great just very good). I am not disappointed. What I love: Great remote, program up to 16 favorite channels which is wonderful. Bright sharp screen, Vivid colors reproduction, lots of inputs - easily meets most needs. The 37" is the largest set I can get in my old entertainment center, it replaced a 32 inch HDTV tube set (maximum screen - minimum footprint). Great looking style. Almost unlimited video settings for brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc. What I don't like: Does not seem to display channel info in my area (old HD set showed network/station/program/HD info when channel tuned in - this one only seems to show channel and if it's digital or analog). Can't program remote to work with my Panasonic Receiver, my Sony HD DVR, or my Xbox 360. Standard Definition channels look washed out and fuzzy (not so sharp). Would I buy again? Yes, this set is worth it even with it's few problems. Who needs to buy this set? Anyone who wants a larger screen to fit in a small space (I had exactly 36" wide space and it "barely" fit and fit perfectly).

Strengths: Great HD picture, multiple inputs, great analog picture!
Weaknesses: Not 1080p of course, but really with a display under 42" a 1080p HD picture is barely (and I mean barely) noticible from a 720p.
Summary: I searched around for about a month deciding on what brand and size LCD I wanted to buy (this is my first flat panel). I kept seeing the Sharp Aquos, of every size, get rave reviews. I ordered it here from beachcamera.com, and with free shipping, how could you go wrong? The TV arrived inside an outer box which made me very happy, and was delivered on the day stated it would be. Out of the box it was a breeze to put on the stand, and get the TV up and running.
The blacks are just that black, as in DARK, not gray at all. The two sensors in the front adjust the backlight of the LCD with the light in your room, which is a great touch!
Sleek, black and silver bezel, with the speakers mounted on the bottom. The sound is GREAT, some people think it could be better, but it's an LCD TV, not a stereo system. I do like the feature of the simulated surround sound, if you choose to turn it on. Did I mention the great price?
I went with the 37" in stead of the 32, or 42, because it just seemed like the perfect size for my apartment. No ghosting on the picture even watching fast paced sports. Sharp knows how to make a TV!
I also picked up a wall mount and it looks great up on the wall! Not a single inkling of thought of buyer's remorse at all. VERY HAPPY! You will be too!

Strengths: Bright, nice to look at ... and a beautiful picture as well!
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: 2007-12-06 12:21:09 This is our first LCD and I must say we are impressed! The HD picture is outstanding (Dish Network) and rivals our larger Samsung DLP. 37" is a bit large for the bedroom but we had the room and the viewing distance is about right so 37" turns out to be just fine. Setup was a snap, menus are easy to follow, sound quality is fine (don't plan to do any home theatre options). We ordered online from BuyDig.com and couldn't believe how quickly it shipped and arrived (ordered Sunday, shipped Monday, arrived Thursday). It was packaged very well and shipped free! Very pleasant experience!

Strengths: Ease of setup. Easy to mount on wall. Great Picture. Very nice looking cabinet.
Weaknesses: None yet
Summary: This is the third Sharp Aquos I have bought of this size. My 1st is connected to Direct, 2nd Comcast, this one to Dish. I bought this one for my 70 year old parents and they refuse to upgrade to high def. Since the majority of programming is not high def anyway I bought and installed this LCD set. I "future proofed" the installation by running HDMI cables along side the component and S video cable behind the wall. Comcast had told me not to bother since HDMI is just a gimmick to make money(it isn't). My parents love the audio output(loud) and are just as pleased with the picture quality. As you can tell I am no techno wizard but I am even pleased with their picture. My other two LCD's tend to put extra pounds on people in stretch mode, this one does not. Would recommend to anyone. The mounting on the wall was a snap with a mount I ordered online, don't believe the big box stores when they tell you to pay hundreds extra for this service.

Strengths: Very nice picture, very user friendly, good amount of HDMI, component connections.
Weaknesses: No digital outpout in plug, sound system is horrible, to wide movies get stretched out on the edges.
Summary: I ordered this and recieved it about 2 weeks ago. I was initially sceptical about gettin a lcd but i decided to go for it. The HD is amazing, although it is not truly hd. It uses a technology cauled tilling which makes 2 screens with high resolution and combines them together to make a full screen, real hd makes one big screen wiht high resolution. This difference is not that noticable. but as a techno freek i noticed this.
The menus are very used friendly and the initial setup is very fast.
The cons are that the speakers on the tv are horrible, if i didnt have dobly surround i would be very mad, and would have to buy some. Another con is that even when you set up all the menus to make the screen 16:9 ratio, the sides of the screens get very stretched out, again this is hard to notice because its only on the outer outer edges, but when someones head is there it looks retarted.
Overall i give it a good review if you have the rite cables and surround sound system to go with it.
WARNING: if you do not intend on plugging in hd equipment do not purchase, it will look like its snowin in the background and as if the lcd is spilling inside the screen. Only purchase and plug it in with component HDMI cables, otherwise dont even bother wasting your money.

Strengths: Picture quality is geat. Ease of setup was no problem and shipping time was fast.
Weaknesses: Using the built in speakers, sound level is not as high as it should be. On the sound level bar, there is no change in volume level from 40 to 60 levels.
Summary: This is a great unit and surely recommend it. I look forward to a future day when I can move up to a larger unit and it will be a Sharp Aquos.

Good TV
Strengths: Bright and clear LCD television. Good color reproduction.
Weaknesses: User Interface menu.
Summary: I have used this TV for about two months now. The color is very good, especially at High Definition. The LCD is bright and very well defined, with no fuzzy edge or motion blur. However the big problem is user menu, which is confusing and non-intuitive. The remote is big, but some of the important buttons for adjustments are hidden behind a flip-open door at the bottom of the remote. Overall it is difficult to set up the TV.

Strengths: Great picture quality on HD channels, SD channels picture better than on regular tv's, plenty of adjustment options, enough inputs for most tv users, nice sound quality and volume
Weaknesses: So far I have found none
Summary: Super buy for the price (I got mine for $900 and free shipping). I do not have a HD dvd player, but it is progressive scan and the picture quality is still impressive. Picture clarity is very defined and the colors jump out at you, especially on HD channels (it's almost as though you are right there). I would and have recommended this tv to others.

Strengths: picture quality looks lighted remote size
Weaknesses: none yet
Summary: I had to decide to buy the 1080i or 1080p. This thing is so clear on hd tv and regular cd's, I don't think it would have made much of a difference to spend the extra money and get the 1080p newer model.
One of the main reasons I got this model is because it is the only one that is less than 36". It is 35.95" and fit in my 36" cabinet perfect!
You will enjoy this lcd tv trust me!
Don
