Strengths: * Signal coverage
* Fast connection
* Variety of security options
* Easy setup (if you have done at least once before)
* Compact design
* Linksys quality
Weaknesses: None
Summary: If you are looking for a quality wireless router to provide a reliable signal throughout a large apartment or need to expand the area of wireless network coverage, this is a great device for you. Rich with security and network configuration options, this device is an excellent choice, for those who seek to upgrade an older device to increase signal strength or/and wireless network speed. Do not forget to enable wireless security, because extra coverage translates into increased number of wireless "guests" trying to tap on your Internet connection.

Strengths: Super easy to setup, outstanding connection speeds, extensive range
Weaknesses: Live Tech support staff is in India/Pakistan
Summary: It is a haven for my small network that shares high-speed broadband Internet access, files and printer among older wired computers with XP and Vista powered wireless notebooks. I still get "Good" or "Excellent" signal strength even outside of the house and able to work and get some fresh air in the same time. Great price compared to other routers, too.

Strengths: Linksys makes setup easy for newbies; great throughput at long range; offers the latest security features; low price for an 11N router.
Weaknesses: Linksys scaled back the warranty for this product to one year.
Summary: The Linksys WRT150N is a great router option for those who want the range improvement of 11N but don't need the other features--or the steep price tag.
The Good? Linksys makes setup easy for newbies; great throughput at long range; offers the latest security features; low price for an 11N router.

Does not work with Xbox 360 Live
Strengths: Works with my other PCs
Weaknesses: Does not work with Xbox 360 Live
Summary: I can't play Halo 3 or other games online with Xbox 360 Live with consistency. Yes, it will connect, I get 3 of 4 bars green on connection, but the games do NOT play right. I called Xbox 360 support and they confirmed it is not yet compatible. I did not get an answer when this issue will be fixed. If you are an Xbox fan, I suggest waiting before buying this product until this issue is resolved. The WRT150-N is a "Version 1." My bad for buying a version 1. Dang, I am bummed.

Strengths: 1. Super long range
2. Easy setting interface
3. Reasonable pricing
Weaknesses: 1. Ugly color and design
2. Plastic exterior case looks cheap
3. No advance users manual
Summary: 1. Super long range. I place this router in one house and set up my desktop PC in another building.(at least 50 feet away)The reception is strong and stable. 2. Easy setting interface. Linksys, as usual, very simple and clear step by step to lead you complete the setting. 3. Reasonable pricing. I also tried Linksys WRT300N and 2 other brands highend products. No need to pay extra money for those advertising numbers. They all have similar range. I can't believe how far the wireless range can go nowadays. The first router I purchased 7 years ago was made by buffalo. over $450 but can't even have stable connection when I bring my laptop to living room (router was in the bedroom). Before getting this product I was thinking to activate another DSL service in this building. Try WRT150N then you'll know what I am talking about.

Strengths: Easy to use and small. Signal is really strong. Great receiption.
Weaknesses: No many Wireless N device support now. I can't get my laptop to support N in WI-FI yet. No any laptop has N wireless yet. They only have b and g.
Summary: So far. I still think Linksys is great which I never purchase any other band. However, it may be early to use N which I heard N is still not the industry standard. It may go away or stay depend on the standard it.

Worst router ever
Strengths: None
Weaknesses: Deceptive "easy" setup, slow connection (when it does connect), kicks off one computer when another logs on.
Summary: I'm not a nube, so I wanted to upgrade from my lousy cable company router; boy, did I make a mistake. The easy setup disc/process only works if you restart the computer after every step, the connection works for 1/2 hour max before it kicks off, super slow connection, really, don't go near this thing. This is the last Linksys product I will ever buy.

Strengths: Easy Set Up -- less than an hour, So far very smooth glitch-free operation
Weaknesses: None so far -- now I think I need faster internet service and a new computer -- not happening though
Summary: I set up the router using the Easy Advisor CD in less than an hour. This is my second or third router set up and by far the easiest. I did call Linksys to make sure I had the latest firmware and to make sure I understood how to access the web accessable router set up. Turns out the instructions are available on their web site if you look around. Updating the firmware is easy, but it turned out mine was current. The latest firmware is also downloadable from their site. My old router, which will remain nameless to protect the guilty, was glitchy as the dickens. What a pleasure using this one is! It looks a bit like it belongs on the old Star Trek series, but it works great. I can watch videos, download files and play games over my DSL connection with reckless abandon. Before my old crummy router locked up at least several times a week. I think it overheated. If I turned it off for a while it was OK for a bit. I finally gave up on it.

Strengths: Good signal, great range, loads of features
Weaknesses: A bit tricky to get set up
Summary: Great product from linksys. I use mine with ATT DSL and use the on-board hardware to bypass the DSL modem to connect directly with the ATT. I have never had signal drops and was able to adjust the signal so it didn't interupt other WiFi products.

Strengths: Great Tech support; good price; faster than my older version; networks easily.
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I was so satisfied with my old Linksys that I knew this would be better and faster, and it is. I like the sleek design, but I'm not much on looks. What I want is performance and I have it with this router. I have not used the wireless aspect, but I'm sure that it would work quite well. I had a small problem with the installation, but I called the Linksys tech's and in less than fifteen minutes it was up and connected. If you hard wire like I did make sure to disable the wireless, so others don't intrude.

Strengths: Great Tech Support, Small Design, Easy Setup
Weaknesses: Not the fastest, Encryption is confusing on what they mean
Summary: This is a pretty grat model. I use it for both wireless and wired networking. The wireless is great but the encryption explanation is so so. This is what it means if you look this up on CNET or a different site. PSK Personal is the same as WPA. PSK 2 Personal is the same as WPA2.

Connection issues
Strengths: - Great speeds when connected
Weaknesses: - Connectivity problems
Summary: - I live in a townhouse with maybe 2 other Linksys routers within range, not all the same models (I know cause my wireless adapter sees them)I have a laptop, and an Xbox 360 connected wireless. I loose connection everyday, sometimes not being able to get on at all....its not my internet provider (I work for the company that installs it so its been checked over many times) so...for maybe having to many routers in the same area is the problem. im calling Linksys right now....

Not as good when two laptops connected.
Strengths: Interface, compact, dual external antennas
Weaknesses: Signal strength drops significantly with two or more laptops connect by wireless. Disconnection occurs about 4-5 times per day and problem still occurs after laptops restart.
Summary: If you are using one laptop you might be okay. But when you connect two or more devices the signal strength drops drastically and stops staying connected. I have no cordless phone and the router is not surrounding by any walls and place perfectly in the open.

Good Draft N router at a reasonable price
Strengths: Speed, no dropped signals
Weaknesses: Poor technical support, difficult to install
Summary: I bought this instead of other less-known brands to have a smooth installation. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Easy Link Advisor software that comes with the router did not recognize the hardwired internet connection (AT&T Yahoo DSL) on my Dell desktop running Windows XP Home located in the main floor of my ranch house. This persisted even after several attempts, uninstall, reinstall, etc. Phone tech support required over 20 minutes wait time. Therefore, I used on-line chat support. They must be handling too many sessions at the same time as they could not get a good grasp on my situation and kept repeating questions. Finally, had to install the router manually by using its ftp address and using the instructions from chat session. Had some issues later on while trying to access the router using Linksys WMP300N adapter in another Dell desktop running Vista and located in the basement. More chat sessions were needed to get the settings corrected. After all the initial troubles, router is working without problems. However, I frequently get only 2 towers (signal strength) when I access the router from the desktop located in the basement. This has not affected my internet access speeds but I am not a heavy internet user (no movie downloads ever, only some music download, some on-line music videos).

Strengths: Strong signal, fast connection.
Weaknesses: Not so easy to install. Tech support speaks heavily accented english. *Drops connection with use of 2.4ghz phone*
Summary: 2008-01-25 15:20:53 Now that it is up and running this is a terrific router. We get an excellent signal on all 3 computers that we have it networked with so far plus our internet speed seems to be faster. Getting it going in the first place turned out to be a rather long process involving 3 separate calls to tech support. It would not install with the disc provided and had to be done manually with help from tech support. I would buy it again.
*update as of 1/25*
The router still works fine but drops connection when the phone is in use. If you get this router make sure you have a 5.8ghz or 900mhz phone or else you will get dropped when the phone is in use and will also get interference on the phone line.
