Strengths: - Excellent Range - Excellent Battery Life - Survived Beer Spill - Easy to Set Up/Configure
Weaknesses: - Keys Stuck Some in the Beginning (problem has since disappeared)
Summary: I got this keyboard and mouse two months ago and it has always worked great. Initially, a few of the keys would stick down occasionally, but it is entirely possible that something sticky got in the keyboard without my knowledge as this keyboard is used by many people, so it may not have been the product's fault.

The range is fantastic - the devices work in our basement, one concrete wall and wooden floor away from the receiver, although the mouse does have to be used on the ceiling in order to ensure the signal is received when it is in the basement.

I haven't had to change the two AAA's in the keyboard yet, and the mouse has yet to lose its charge, though the longest it has been left off of the receiver is 2 days.

The keyboard and mouse are under heavy use by 5 college roommates each day and show no signs of wear. I even spilled beer on the keyboard last night and it still works. In fact, I am writing this review with it. When the spill happened I took out the batteries as fast as I could so the circuits wouldn't short and then let it dry overnight. Great product.

Strengths: Reliable and accurate long range usage, rechargeable mouse docking, quick keys, nice texture, simple installation and settings, not overly complex.
Weaknesses: Keystroke feel takes some getting used to. It is kind of like a cross between a conventional desktop keyboard and a laptop keyboard.
Summary: 2007-09-22 08:06:38 I was a little nervous about getting this because I bought it based on the mfg specs. Not many reviews out on it yet. I was glad to see it met or exceeded my expectations in every category.

Upon plugging it in it worked right away without even having to press the connect buttons on either device and even without installing the drivers.

I got it for my HT-PC (home theater PC) and it works great for that. It is simple and easy to use, which is nice since my young kids use it. There are a decent amount of media keys and programmable keys which unfortunately are not always the easiest to press because they are small and recessed. Volume and mute being the most important media keys to me. You can sit on the couch (mine is 10-12 ft away) and get flawless keyboard and mouse accuracy. I tried from another room about 25 ft away and got just as good results (sorry, I can't test it from 32 ft, space limitations). All the other wireless keyboards that I found only offer 6 ft or 10-12 ft at best with sketchy reviews on wireless reliability at that range. I don't have any game usage experience, so I can't comment on that. Price is really good for this set. Well worth it. The battery stamina is excellent. Haven't had a low battery indication on the keyboard yet. The mouse has a USB charging cradle, but I have left if off the cradle for weeks with heavy usage and amazingly, it has never lost a charge. Mouse is extremely ergonomic feeling and has a soft rubberized texture (great for the sake of keeping it from slipping out of the hands and dropping to the floor). Keyboard has similar texture and the keys are recessed to give it a very slim design which makes it easier to handle especially when you rest it on your lap. It is relatively lightweight also.

In hindsight, I am very glad I got this one as opposed to the other ones out there, and I think you will be too.

Strengths: It does just what its says long range
Weaknesses: Havent found one
Summary: I have a Microsoft 1000 that most of us go and buy from the local computer store thinking well it has a name brand name on it.The Iogear is the best keyboard and mouse the range is wonderful and the mouse will work on more than just a mouse pad surface. I use the Microsoft 1000 for a few months but if I got over 6 feet with the keyboard it would not work. If you want to lay in your bed with a mointor mounted on the wall the Iogear long range is the way to go. Not only can you lay on a bed but you can lay any where in your house and it will work. If you are like me with a microsoft 1000 good luck trying to give it away

Strengths: Attractive, well-made, excellent range, rechargeable mouse
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: Like every other Iogear product I have ever purchased (I have several of their KVMs), this product is very well engineered and of high quality. The product looks great and works as described. The plastics and finishes are of a much higher quality than many competing products. Great not to have to replace the batteries in the mouse every few months like my Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse!

Strengths: Excellent long range, rechargeable mouse, very simple to install.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: I purchased it to use it with my PDP large screen.

I looked at other wireless keyboard & mouse sets.

Although design is subjective, they looked better; however, most of them can only work 3 feet or so.

This is almost the only set with good price, acceptable price on the web.

I really needed one because I had to constantly get out of my bad to click one button.

Anyhow,

This set is great.

It works very well in long range.

I am very happy with this.
