Strengths: 160GB is more than enough memory for anyone. This notebook has it all. It comes with Roxio preloaded and Sonic Stage (itunes answer). Everything is easy and the manual is downloaded already.
Weaknesses: Volume and sound is not the greatest, my Compaq was better. Battery life is running only 2 hours. Takes time to turn on (3 mins).
Summary: Overall, this notebook is well worth the money. Don't buy the comparable versions by HP or Toshiba, go with the VAIO. Sony support is super. The webcam is great and the microphone picks up everything. VISTA is well integrated and is better than XP, but it will take time getting used to. I would also recommend buying a warranty on this notebook as it is rather expensive. Best bang for the buck and I will keep at least 3 years. The resale value should be great!

Strengths: Great LCD screen, 120GB Memory is good as internal hard disk, Windows Vista Home Premium and anti-virus pre-loaded
Weaknesses: None so far. Windows Vista as such is resource hungry
Summary: It has a great display (15.4" LCD), has a great exterior look. The system is full of resources, 120 GB HDD, 2GB RAM. Sony does not compromise in quality as such. One good feature I found different from my old laptop was the audio video ports on on the front for ease of use.
I would definately reccomend this laptop.

Strengths: Great features/bang for the buck.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: I needed a new laptop to replace my 6 year old Dell Inspiron and saw this one at Circuit City. They had it for $1,249.99+tax and also had 3 months no payments/no interest. I'm completely happy with the laptop and it came with Windows Vista Home Premium as well as Norton Anti-Virus. I would definately reccomend this laptop to someone else who is in the market for a resonably priced laptop that is good for all around general usage.

Summary: It's fast with 2GB of ram. It has a great display (15.4" LCD), has a great exterior look. The system is full of resources. It is a very good laptop when compared to other 15.4 " inch laptops. Nicely designed and powerful.

Strengths: Overall quality, great looks!
Weaknesses: Vista (need I say more???) and short battery life
Summary: I have had this laptop for 2+ years now. I have had no problems or issues with it, except for the Vista (which is pretty widely hated) and the battery life, which is usually only about 2 hours. The keyboard is very easy to use and I have had no problems with it. The screen delivers a gorgeous picture in any light. I have successfully loaded many kinds of disks, both DVD and CD, and have had no problems with either the drive or reading/writing disks. I use this laptop daily and have never had any problems of any kind with it. I have a couple thousand music files and about as many pictures along with documents, games, etc. and still have plenty of room on my hard drive. Operating speed is great! Finds wireless hotspots and other wireless signals with no problems.
When talking with the Geek Squad guys at Best Buy, they say that most people have problems with their cd/dvd drive and keyboards because they are very hard on their equipment. Any equipment, regardless of price, needs to be treated with respect. They are not bullet proof! I use MS Office and play games regularly along with surfing the net. I have not found a disk yet that this laptop won't accept.
I highly recommend this laptop to anyone. I only gave the 4 out of 5 stars because of the Vista OS and the short battery life. I heard that Microsoft is coming out with a new version of XP for us disgruntled Vista users, and I hope that it is true! If I had it to do all over again, I would still buy this laptop.

Strengths: Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB Memory, 160GB Hard Drive, Superior picture quality
Weaknesses: Battery life
Summary: I got this laptop for $975. This laptop has the best features in it's price range, yet it's less expensive than most other choices. It has all of the numbers I wanted: Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB Ram and 160GB Hard Drive. This is a fast machine and you notice the performance difference. The battery life is not great. Last about 2.5 hours. I think I should be getting large capacity battery down the road. Overall it's got great capabilities for a more than decent price.

Strengths: Beautiful LCD display, comes w/2GB RAM, Core 2 Duo
Weaknesses: 2GB RAM is max, battery life kinda poor
Summary: This is the 3rd Sony laptop I've owned and I am always amazed by how much better their display is than others I see. This has the XBRITE-ECO LCD screen, built-in webcam & mic, a good-sized 160GB hard drive, etc. I really like the feel of the laptop's keyboard, too. The only cons are the limit of 2GB of RAM (I thought all Core 2 Duo's could handle 4GB, but I guess not) and a somewhat disappointing battery life. I get a little over 2 hours when I am on-line and surfing the web. Overall I am happy with the laptop and do not regret the purchase.
