Strengths: Good price after rebate!!
Good compatibility.
Weaknesses: Chemical smell is not good as HP's one
Summary: 2004-11-05 10:29:06 Burned about 25 discs. No coasters so far
My burner is Toshiba R5272 a little bit cheap one.
It can't burn the HP 4X+R media at 4X but works good with Ritek at 4X.
Personally, I don't like the chemical stink from Ritek's but HP's one is natural.
Anyway, I don't think that I have good burner as others have because mine is only for 4X max.

Strengths: Reliable, and Fast! Can write at 8X speed.
Good price.
Weaknesses: N/A so far
Summary: I use Kyphermedia DX082D 8X driver with latest firmware.
I have burned over 20 DVD and data discs, so far so good! No coasters!
Works well with my Apex DVD player and many DVD drivers.
I love it!

Strengths: - Dependable burns
- Good price
Weaknesses: - 4x max burn speed
- Didn't come with spindle (oem)
note: both weaknesses I knew about and are what keeps the price so great.
Summary: I have burned a bunch of dvd's without a bad burn. XBox, DVD Player, and PCs DVD Drive all read the discs great. I'd recommend this product to anyone. But you'll want an empty spindle to use with these if you get the OEM version. Good bang for the buck without sacrificing quality.

Strengths: reliable, fast, high quality burning
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: Received the item only one day and burned about 10 discs. No coasters so far. Using NEC ND-3500A it can be burned at 8x, so it is fast enough. I'd say it looks like very high quality and I'll surely buy it again.

Strengths: Compatible with all my dvd readers and dvd players
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: This particular brand and speed has proven to be pretty reliable in storing data and home videos.
The few bad writes to these disk have been due to application errors.
I would buy these again for it's compatibility and price.

Summary: The product is labeled for 4X, but actually it could burn under 8X without any problem at all. A great buy for such price. Defintely will buy again.

Strengths: Never failed. Tried other before and in many cases my DVD player can't read them. Everythink I write to this media
works very good with My Phillips DVD player. I will buy only this media now.

Strengths: Excellent quality

Summary: 2004-09-27 13:12:54 Have a LITE-ON DVD 4X burner and have burnt more 20 DVDs
do not have any problem. All backup is perfect. This high
quality product is better than name brand and bottom line
is half the cost of the name brand. I highly recommend this
good product.

Not only burned @ 4X - actually burned @ 8X
Weaknesses: NO!
Summary: 2004-09-03 17:20:17 Before I brought it from Newegg.com, I got some same disks from my friend to test my new Optorite DD1205 and the disks works great with my DVD player adn PS2. Then, I ordered it immediately. Not a coaster so far even burned @ 8X!!! MUST GET IT! GREAT PERFORMACE and GOOD DEAL!!

Strengths: Made by RITEK, brand name; great deal
Weaknesses: no coasters yet
Summary: Newegg.com gives you FREE expedited shipping so you get the disks in three days or less, the approximate cost (per disk) is less than fifty cents a pop, and these come from a trusted brand name manufacturer (RITEK), what is there NOT to like? Did I mention I haven't found a single coaster yet?

Summary: These do the job as advertised. No reason to complain. Zero coasters so far. Definitely can recommend them as a reliable soluition to dvd backup and data backup. I researched and it looks like Ritek is a great brand to choose.
