First Motorola since the t193 I haven't had problems with
Strengths: An attractive, slightly unique, full function phone. Provides everything the average person would need if you can tolerate the slow processing
Stereo Bluetooth, everything else needed.
Weaknesses: Slow Response rate(Yet not as slow as the first/second version RAZRs or every other Motorola since the t193
Would be Fabulous with a faster processor and more onboard memory(Used with 2gb card)
Summary: I bought this phone to replace a Nokia MusicXpress that just had major issue(Design flaws, Processor flaws, Nokia isn't the company it was 2 years ago. No long producing reliable, well build phones. I used to be a firm supporter of nokia. I had their 6600 and loved it. Was my fav phone of all time. The new phones they're making do not measure up) It also replaced the Samsung t809's I have.
This phone performs great for it's price and it's features. This surprises me. I have 5 lines and have forbidden anyone on my plan to have a Motorola before because of my past problems.(I had the first and second versions of the razr, Moto V300, and my favorite phone of all time considering it's time, the T193, which was my first cell phone ever and only phone to ever only give me slight problems, it was replaced once)
I would recommend this phone to anyone who is willing to accept a smartphone. This means, reboot it about once a day but in return you get a good camera(with better than average quality) a flash type option(it's a light, but still, who else has been jealous of those with sprint who've had this for years?) A cuter phone(I still love my sleek samsung t809, but the Rizr is more eye catching as long as you can deal with the candy bar slim style rather than the shorter slimmer but wider samsung phone)
I would not recommend this phone for someone who will never use the extra features or who uses their phone for well, primarily phone calls because the software and style is not geared for someone who doesn't specifically want the extra features.
This is more of a mid-range phone, if you want something that has the extra features to occasionally use and still want the simplicity of placing a clear connectable call this is a perfect phone to consider.
My total rating is mediocre. Not perfect for a call only person but not perfect for a feature rich person. The calender will not be your daily planner but will help with remembering Cousin Ed's birthday. Lets put it that way
