Strengths: Great budget speakers, sound, looks, works with ipod and other mp3 players
Weaknesses: not a "charging dock" for your players
Summary: Good speakers if you can get them on sale. The dock DOES NOT CHARGE your ipod. As PC speakers they do their job, good bass and good sound. No 5.1 THX surround sound but for the everyday user that just needs it to listen to music, watching a movie or when playing a game this will work for you. Can't give it 5 stars as the dock doesn't charge.

Strengths: good sound, mp3 portable player cradle/input
Weaknesses: everything wired together
Summary: These speakers boost the sound of the music and games I play on my desktop, compared to the small bundled PC speakers I already had. Best thing is that boom-boom sound I got with the subwoofer. Has a headphone jack input. An extra was the ability to connect an mp3 player with the included cable and place it on the stowaway cradle. 2 year warranty period. I did not like the fact that everything is wired together. But it is a small inconvenience. Once the speakers and subwoofer are in place, I don't expect to be moving them around.

Strengths: Relatively cheap for a worthwhile set of speakers, dock can be useful if you use an mp3 player a lot.
Weaknesses: Doesn't come w/ toast.
Summary: I was a little apprehensive about the quality of these compared to other "dock" speakers, but for the money I paid ($20) it was more than up to the task!

Weaknesses: not-so-good speakers
Summary: I got these speakers for a great price after rebate. It is otherwise not worth the full price. THey are ok for a desktop. For my purpose it is alright.

Strengths: Sound is clear, sub is clean with adjustable sub volume. Dock specializes for iPod video and nano, also the new Zune. Uses the headphone jack from MP3 player for input.
Weaknesses: Control unit is hard wired to the unit along with AC cord. Does not self power the iPod or Zune. You must use the factory cord (not docking station) to charge. May need to purchase an AC to USB conv.
Summary: First off, I have to say I was VERY impressed with the unit. I was at first a bit confused when taking it out of the box on how the control unit was attached to the sub, which houses the amplifier. The power cord was also attached, and both were in a separate compartment so it was difficult to remove. Having flash backs of previous sound systems, I was a bit scared as to the quality (usually low-end speakers are setup like this). I have a nice 5.1 system and every cord is detachable from the main unit. It's nice when you re-organize your room and stuff, but definitely not a necessity.
But I was curious as to how well the sound would be played. Logitech has been known to produce wonderful speakers in the past, and they have done it again with this version.
Setup was a breeze, although I admit I had to cheat and look at the manual to figure out what all the extra dock parts were for along with the extra headphone wire. Learned that the unit fully supports iPod video, and nanos, and the new Zune. Since it does not use the proprietary jacks for the units itself, you can pretty much plug ANY MP3 player to it, and the MP3 rest area is concealable, aka you pull it out during use and can push it back in when not used. The only problem with this is that the "dock ports" for the specific units will get in the way if you decide to use them. And then if you do not, your unit won't be charged. So for all those people that don't want to use it for MP3 and just have a nice affordable 2.1 speaker system for your computer, yes this can work for you. No one will be the wiser about the dock, except for you. Only downside to using this as a MP3 sound dock strictly is that if you decide NOT to plug it into your pc, the pc audio cord is hardwired to the unit, where as the MP3 audio cord is a separate add-on. I think Logitech saw this product as a PC speaker setup first then as an add-on a MP3 speaker setup. Hence the necessity to purchase an AC to USB adaptor for those that don't want to use it as PC speakers as well (where USB ports are bountiful), if your MP3 unit charges through USB that is.
The amp does a great job and delivers a great sound. When you turn the sub off, you hear what you would expect to hear, just pure treble. And the nicest part is that you can manually set the bass level with the volume knob on the back of the sub. The sub although small, delivers a great amount of bass. It won't blow away bigger and more expensive subs, but for it's price range, it's well worth it.
My favorite part was learning that the unit can dual task, be a great iPod speaker system AND connect to the pc at the same time. This may also be a double edged sword as you can mix two songs at once, aka while the iPod is playing, the input from the computer is mixed with it. While some may see this as a hindrance, I see it as a bonus. What would have been nice, is the OPTION for the user to decide, mixed or not. And then decide the priority. Although this would most likely result in 1) a more expensive product 2) a bigger unit. Just be sure to NOT play songs from your computer AND your MP3 player at the same time, unless you want to be a DJ.
All in all, for it's price range I feel that this is a great 2.1 speaker system that allows the user to have the ability to use it solely for MP3 or dual use. A great sounding unit with clean bass and manual bass control. You will not be disappointed in buying one.

Strengths: Good sound, good price
Weaknesses: Low level hum (feedback noise) whenever turned on
Summary: The speakers produced a hum whenever they are turned on (I tried moving them away from the computer and all electronic equipment, but the hum was still there). Logitech tech support said this was not normal and I returned the speakers for a replacement. The second pair did exactly the same thing. This time I returned them for a refund. Yes, the hum is partly covered by the noise of the fan of my desktop computer, but it is louder than that. It bothered me sleeping at night and I had to go and turn the speakers off. If you are sensitive to feedback, don't get these speakers

Cheap, not all cracked up to be
Strengths: iPod dock, 2.1 Sound, Inexpensive
Weaknesses: Cheap, poor sound quality, not very aethstic pleasing
Summary: I have to admit, for the money I paid $15 after rebate, it's not a bad product. It has decent sound output, an ipod dock which is nice, decent bass, and bottomline its CHEAP. But the problem is that its not great of a speaker set. If it didn't have the iPod dock, this would be no better than any $20 2.1 speaker set you can buy at Bestbuy. It's nice and convieniant to have the dock, but some can consider it useless since the speakers are already connected to your computer, so most likely you could just run itunes to play the music back to you.
Bottomline - If you can find this for under $20 and you have an iPod, I recommend it, otherwise, spend your money elsewhere if you're looking for something that sounds better and look nicer and sleeker

Strengths: Kick a** sound, easy to install, mp3 attachment
Weaknesses: very low humming sound
Summary: When I first turned it on I was very impressed with the sound that came out. I'm a music lover and must have the best sound possible when listening to it and this produces it (well at least til I can afford a BOSE system! :) ). It was very easy to install, no software to download, no big manual to read. It comes with a quick install guide, so it's basically plug & play. The only small turn off is the low hum that comes from the sub, but it's placed under my computer desk so I can't really hear it, only when there is a pause in between the songs! ;) I would suggest to those who are annoyed by it is to turn it off when not in use! hellooo!! These speakers are well worth it and I would suggest them to all my music lovers and those who just like a good sound from their computer speakers.

Strengths: Color and sound, can hook my ipod to it.
Weaknesses: dock does not charge. Odd place for the buttons.
Summary: Friend recommended these speakers and with a price of 20 after rebate they were a steal! Looks nice next to my dell pc and also my dell notebook. Wish it could charge my ipod nano but i can only use it to hear my music. You don't need to have the PC on to listen to the mp3 player which i think is a plus. Overall it was a good investment for my needs.

Strengths: Compact, good looks, MP3 player holder/imput, strong sound for size, headphone jack
Weaknesses: hard wired speakers
Summary: This is a surprisingly strong speaker system for it's size and price. Very nice where realestate is at a premium (like a dorm or bed room). Doubles as a MP3 player speaker system as well as a charging unit with USB. Maybe an iPhone could be used here (I don't have or know anyone with an iPhone). I can see making the most of your laptop using the speakers.

Small, inxpensive speaker system.
Strengths: Small form factor, sub-woofer with adequate power, cradle.
Weaknesses: Wires not detachable, unable to power MP3 player.
Summary: This is one of those items that you can be satisfied due to the price range, but you wouldn't go out of your way to purchase otherwise. It's very compact which is good if your space is limited. Another plus is the included sub-woofer which gives your music an added punch. The biggest downfall in my eyes is that the wires are connected to the unit, so you cannot detach them. This makes it a real pain to move and you really can't spread the speakers out for better sound dispersion. It also would have been nice to include some method of powering the MP3 player using the cradle, but I guess you can't have everything at this price point.

Strengths: Clear sound
Weaknesses: sub & volume control is not detachable
Summary: These speakers provide crisp & clear sound, a big improvement over the cheap pc speakers I had before. My only complaint for the speakers is the volume control is not detachable from the sub, which makes it a bit of a pain when setting everything in place. A decent set of speakers at a decent price IF the rebate comes without hassle- which was not the case, they lost/misplaced my rebate(which appears to be common for them) so I need to resubmit..

Strengths: looks nice and works OK
Weaknesses: not the best quality
Summary: This is a decent affordable speaker which includes a subwoofer and an adapter for iPods. The overall look of this set is decent despite its low price. Sound quality is not the best, but is acceptable for the price ($15 after rebate). If you were looking for a speaker set for the desktop in this price range, this is a best buy.

Good match at good price for your MP3 or computer
Strengths: MP3 cradle, Volume control for SUB,compact size
Weaknesses: sound quality is just OK,MP3 cradle does not provide power to player
Summary: Overall its OK sound system which can be used with PC,laptop and MP3. Sound quality is not the best.I did noticed some distortion in sub woofer. The wiring cannot be removed from the system , so you have to carry everything together at the same time. There should be some kind on connection in the cradle to power the MP3 player.
