Strengths: Size of screen, operation is kid friendly, choices of screen - full, letterbox, etc., multiple viewers in traveling situations,
Weaknesses: sound is better through headphones, car set up could be better , DVD car holder fit is a little tight, need to be careful and not overextend DVD covers (inside and outside) or they could be damaged
Summary: We have been putting this player through its' paces since we received it. This DVD player was purchased with traveling with children in mind. This is a screen that can satisfy multiple viewers and a person can actually see what is happening in the movie. My oldest son mentioned glare was less a problem with this player than his GameBoy. Sound is best if headphones are used and there are two outlets for that. The sound without the headphones is a little "tinny" - bass is needed. It plays multiple formats but a real CD player does CDs more justice than this. For travelling with children, this can't be beat - screen size being the biggest advantage without becoming a size nuisance for storage when not in use. We're still trying to figure out the best set up in the car. It may simply be a cooler or backpack on the floor between the children, securing it in its' holder somehow to the front carseats with the provided straps. Placement on the armrest may interfere with front passengers and the headrest set up only allows one to see as well as making it more cumbersome to get in and out of the car. The wedge that came with it counters the tilt of the front seat the DVD player holder is strapped around. The remote could use a velcro attachment or sleeve to solve the misplacement issue. I will probably buy a hard case for movement and storage issues with the children.
