Strengths: Portability
Weaknesses: Constant static; could never get a clear, clean signal
Summary: Easy enough to set up, but the signal strength and amount of static would fluctuate as you walked around the house - similar to a cheap antenna. We were so dissatisfied we returned the item.

Strengths: Ease of Use. Flexible for any input. Durable.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I have used this connected to my computer, I Pod and stereo and it works great. It's small but has powerful sound. Great for on the deck at home or bringing it with you at the lake house. Have had little to no trouble with reception.

2 Star ReviewAR 900MHZ SPEAKERS
Strengths: Portable handle
Weaknesses: Doesnt hold a camndle to my wirelwess Advent speaker. It does not have a separate tuning knob. The Advent allows you to fine tune the connection. rsdw
Summary: The AR is very smartly styled and the portable handle is a big plus. Syncing up with the transmitter is a little awkward as it uses a single control to turn on and adjust volume and auto tuning to find the transmit signal. I have an Advent 900Mhz wireless that although not as attractive as the AR, allows for separate fine tuning of the connection and a separate on/off volume switch.

Strengths: Ease of use; durability
Weaknesses: None
Summary: My father received this as a gift over 2 1/2 years ago. He leaves it outside in his patio in South Florida. It's completely unaffected by the humidity. He's never had any problems with it. In fact, he states that this is one of his all-time favorite gifts. I'm purchasing some as Christmas gifts this year.

Strengths: Worked great --- for a while
Weaknesses: Worked only for 3 month
Summary: Customer service sucks. On hold for over 30 minutes and no help available. No returns after 30 days even if it's broken. Very dissappointed with store.

Strengths: Portability, ease of setup
Weaknesses: 8 C batteries!
Summary: I've had one of these plugged in on my screened porch for 2 years. I like to listen to music while floating around the pool area. The first one cooked the board after 3 months & wouldn't power on. I called support & they said to send it back with a receipt. I did and they sent me a refurb that's been great ever since. It's never been in the rain so I can't attest to weatherproofness. Yep, it takes 8 C batteries so I've only had it plugged in. While it doesn't play audiophile quality, what do you want for this price?
