Strengths: Excellent graphics, Realistic gameplay, Great addition to C&C Line-up
Weaknesses: Multiplayer online gaming seems limited on Mac so far, No Sea-type units in non-expansion (although I believe Zero hour should have ships, which comes out some time next year)
Summary: This is a very fun, very realistic strategy game. Westwood studios, the game designer, has had a lot of practice in designing this series and introduces Generals on a new engine. The graphics are quite amazing...some of the cinematics from the missions are so close to the actual game play it still surprises me. Some really great extras come when you recieve higher rankings (1-4 or 5 star General), some cool attacks such as the USA Fuel Air Bomb...a plane drops a bomb that spreads fuel around an area, the fuel then ignites in mid air causing mass damage to the surrounding buildings and units. I wish there were more multiplayer games going on through their 'Gameranger' multiplayer portal as well as the ability to battle by sea...I'm hoping zero hour has this functionality. Another down side is you can't exit the game direct, you have to go through a couple menus before closing it...not a huge issue but would've been a nice feature to have. Overall, highly recommended game!
