Strengths: Easy setup and understanding of menu options.
Weaknesses: Price. But worth the money
Summary: I purchased a 46D92 after a solid review of many of the other brands. The setup was quick and painless. My wife and I finished in less than 15 minutes. Once I turned it on, I was blown away by the clarity of the display. It is everything I hoped for in a 1080p TV. The quality, fit, and finish are fantastic. The colors are accurate and vibrant. Even the standard definition broadcasts seemed to leap off the screen. The blacks are unbelievable. The specs delivered as promised. You will not be disappointed with the 46D92. I almost bought a 46D62 but decided to go for the higher end unit. The difference was worth it. Check it out for yourself! You won't be disappointed.

Strengths: Easy to assemble, program, operate and light weight. Crisp color.
Weaknesses: Reds too brilliant. Stand collects dust quickly. The heat near the screen was unexpected.
Summary: I am very pleased with it though having no experience with a LCD flat screen High Definition(HD) TV I bought the extended warranty. The HD picture is a real upgrade especially for viewing golf. It makes the picture appear to be three dimensional. Even my wife enjoys watching it! All in all I think it's a great value for the money.

Strengths: Fantastic HD performance, clear picture, bright colors, easy to setup and use
Weaknesses: Throws a lot of heat from top of TV, black TV stand and screen attract dust, speakers making funny noise
Summary: This is one beautiful TV. Only Sony has a better picture, but costs a lot more. HD is superb. Blurring is kept to a minimum by the 120mhz refresh rate. If you watch a lot of sports, this TV will keep pace. I was surprised at how much heat is generated, so provide plenty of ventilation. Speakers sound good, but there is a funny noise- could be vibration of some sort. Overall, a best buy.

Strengths: Picture quality and very easy setup
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I did lot of research on TV and decided to go with LCD technology. Three "S" was in my list (Sony, Samsung and Sharp). However I decided to picked up this Sharp due to excelled picture quality and of course price difference.

I am very impressed with this TV. I have been using this TV for past few days and performance of the TV is excellent with outstanding contrast.

TV assembly was very easy. It took us about 30 mins to assemble. With no time I was able to hook my wii and laptop and again i am very impressed by the picture quality of the TV and viewing angles are excellent.

I would definitely recommend this TV and this one of the finest 1080p TV I have ever seen so far.

Strengths: Picture, sound
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: This is the finest 1080p TV I have ever seen. We put it in a really bright room and it just keeps giving. With the addition of our Sony PS III we now have a great gaming system. The built-in surround sound was a very nice surprise.

Strengths: Deep Blacks,Viberant colors & Detail picture.
Weaknesses: Remote!
Summary: Its hookup to a PS3 60gig and Xbox 360 Elite(Hdmi 1.2) 1080p on both. Movies on bluray looks fantastic, the Lcd has a great picture and no motion blur from playing FPS such as Gears of Wars or any Action movies. This LCD has one of the deepest blacks, Fantastic detail picture!!! MUST BUY!!!!!!!!

Strengths: Beautiful color, great sound user friendly remote.
Weaknesses: None noted
Summary: Great fit into entertainment system (46 inch wide tv thru a 44 inch wide opening into a 48 inch wide area for tv, due to shortness of tv depth and angling through opening)

Strengths: 1. large and sharp view screen with excellent performance 2. 5ms fast response and 15000:1 contrast ratio, good for watch sport tv programs 3. LCD saves spaces
Weaknesses: 1. don't have a really true black level (but most LCD TVs don't) 2. the included speaker doesn't have a good quality of sound.
Summary: easy setup, this LCD TV has full 1080P HD picture quality which brings me another experience of watching TV and playing games. I tried GT4(PS2) with 1080i feature on and I'm shocked by the picture quality from this TV. Also tried Lord of the Ring DVD on the TV, maybe because my DVD doesn't have a component cable, its quality is not what I expected. But 16:9 picture does impressed me a home theatre experience. Overall this LCD TV worth the price to get! Highly recommend.

3 Star ReviewSharp's Aquous 46D92U
Strengths: Light weight/easy to mount in provided bracket. Easy setup. Many connection options (multiple hdmi as well as component, s-video and composite). Nice picture with format/resolution choices.
Weaknesses: Nice picture not great. Picture quality significantly reduced at even slight angles. Price.
Summary: Overall this seems to be a good t.v. but is hard to justify at the price. The contrast of 15000:1 is best in the business, but seems to "black-out" some detail/acuity and as with any hdtv, picture varies greatly depending on format/resolution of the program being viewed i.e. high-def t.v. does not always equal high-def picture. If picture quality and cost are your primary concerns you may want to consider a different t.v.

Strengths: Realy Sharp picture, slim, light and very easy to setup.
Weaknesses: Price should be lower. Remote cannot operate DirecTV and DishNet satelite recievers.
Summary: 2008-01-06 13:41:23 After long research (choose bitween plasma and LCD technology) I did choose LCD. My first choice in the brand name was Sony with V or W technology. But my final decision: Sharp LC-XXD92U. Better picture quality (120 frames, 4mSec switching time and very high brightness) and less money(what is important too).

Very ease to setup. It took me less then 30 min to connect TV to my Directv receiver. Even before I got HD programming, the picture qualify was very good. As soon I got HD programming I realized what is really good.

So if you wish to see 1080p on the screen you need HD cable or dish service.

I would definitely recommend this TV.
