 Stay Away from Acer Strengths: Great bang for the buck
Hi definition drive
Dual core processor really fast
DVI connection - lots of laptops missing this feature
Weaknesses: Customer Service very lacking
Lots of bugs straight out of the box, make sure you get and extended warrenty
Summary: I've owned my Acer for about a year now and quite honestly its the worst laptop I've ever owned. Sure it looks great and is very feature rich, but I'll remind you that for a PC company 20% of the cost of the laptop goes into the build 80% goes into the after sales service (you can actually look this stat up). I've had my Acer for about a year and have returned it 5 times for various problems (ie: a bad hard drive twice, bad RAM, motherboard malfunction, and a nonworking HD drive). To make matters worse each time you send in your laptop to Acer, it's a minimum of 2-3 weeks its take for them to fix and send back to you so if this it you're only machine your out of luck. Also, Never send Acer recover disk or power adapter when you return them as they do not return them to you and its a pain get them to resend you another. Quite honestly you're much better off with buying a Lenovo or Apple (since you can now run Windows on the Macbook Pro) as they both make reliable computer with excellent customer service
