Strengths: Excellent value for the money. Easy to install.
Weaknesses: Sounds is not as good as the JBL HTI6C speakers.
Summary: We are very pleased with these speakers. Installed them in the wall in a large living room. Excellent for background music (which is what we use it for). Obviously the sound is not as good as towers, but they are great for only 8" wall/ceiling speakers. They don't sound quite as good (or maybe it's just that they sound different) than the JBL HTI6C speakers that we put in the ceiling in another room. Speakers were easy to install, the templates that came with it to make the cuts were exactly right.

Strengths: Easy to install, great price with pretty good sound, directional tweeter.
Weaknesses: Not good as towers, but good for in-ceiling.
Summary: I am very pleased with these in-ceiling speakers. I installed them outside in the Lanai away by the pool, but out of the elements. Even though they are indoor speakers they are working well outside. The in-ceiling style looks much better than the wall mounts that I replaced. The 8” woofer provides a decent amount of bass that carries throughout my pool area. They were easy to install and the price was half that of what I could have paid in local stores. The bottom line is that they provide good sound for a great price and are and don’t stick out like a sore thumb.
