Strengths: Inexpensive, decent optics
Weaknesses: A little clumsy to use
Summary: This is a pretty decent budget telescope. It's good for looking at the moon, or maybe planets and other obvious night sky items. It is a little clumsy to use - you don't have really smooth control of positioning, and it's a little "sticky". It's hard to precisely aim it. But, for the budget price this can be found for, it's an excellent deal for someone who wants to get into night sky watching.

Strengths: 1)it seems to be assembled with a little more quality control. 2)it is very lightweight. 3)Celestron Powerseeker 50 has a coated glass objective. 4)the Powerseeker 50 is very inexpensive.
Weaknesses: The Powerseeker 50 mount is a very shaky alt-az affair with spindly aluminum legs. The 50mm aperture of the Powerseeker is too small to see much more than the moon.
Summary: Excellent for those of you who are ametuers and are just wanting to spend as little as possible to get you started to learn about celetial objects. Quick and easy set up and ready to go anywhere because of its lightweight
