Strengths: Light weight, sharp and bright image, focusing knob is smooth
Weaknesses: The accessories are not of high grade nor good design.
Summary: I'm surprise the 15x70 Skymaster is light weight for its size and it provides sharp, bright images. The shake does not affect much my viewing (maybe my hands are somewhat stable).

Minor issues: The strap is so small, the bag's fabric is too thin, the eyepiece cover does not stay tight in place. The plastic tripod adapter does not give strong support for the binocs, I plan to follow other netters to fill the adapter's empty space with epoxy putty or to buy another metal adapter.

Overall the Celestron 15x70 Skymaster binocular is a very good purchase considering its quality for the low price.

Strengths: price,no-fault warranty,BAK4 lenses,weight, tripod mount,
Weaknesses: not full multi-coated lenses, only multi-coated. not water/fogproof.
Summary: The 15x70 Skymaster is a bargain in its price range. It may not have fully multi coated lenses or water/fogproof, but it makes up for that with its no-fault warranty. The center focus and right diopter are easy to adjust and do not drift. The additional weight and size compared to a 10x50 binocular takes some getting use to, but the tripod adapter allows for hands free viewing. Also, I understand that the lenses are the same as used in more expensive binoculars. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

2 Star ReviewCelestron 15x70
Strengths: Light, price
Weaknesses: cheap quality and feel.... not water/fogproof.
Summary: Overall, I am not very impressed with the quality of these binos. Yes, the price reflects that and I was well aware of this prior to purchasing but I feel if I had done my homework I would have realized that there are many other binoculars in this same price range and of better quality.

Strengths: price, performance
Weaknesses: weight
Summary: These binoculars are a bargain. You can use them for everything from seeing across the street to stargazing. They are easily adjusted and come with a neck strap and eyepiece cover that hooks through the neck strap. Also comes with individual lens caps. I expect the tripod adapter to be put to good use as the only downside to these binoculars is their weight - nearly 5 pounds. With a tripod, they should be perfect.
