Strengths: Lightweight, simple button navigation, plenty of features, price (dropped almost 100 bucks since I bought it), sturdy grip, and it's an SLR! Picture quality is superb. *Use quality film to match it!*
Weaknesses: Feels a bit cheapy and plasticy, but for the price, you can't complain. The flash is weak, but it's fine for everyday use.
Summary: The lens it comes with is just a basic starter lens, so try and get a better zoom lens to go with it. This designed for beginner SLR users who want to get familiar with SLR cameras and for camera users who want the flexibility of being able to change the lens and settings. It's lightweight design is great for beginners who need to have a camera to learn off of, and is perfect for the everyday photographer who just wants to snap quick, high-quality pictures using the Auto setting. If you're a Soccer Mom who wants to stand out from the rest of the crowd with their disposable cameras or cheap 30 dollar film cameras, this camera will make an impression. If you are just starting a Photography class and don't want to spend the money on a rental, this one is perfect, seeing as it has all manual settings as well as pre-sets and an Auto feature.
Remember, buy good quality film to get the most out of this camera. ISO 50-200 film is what you're looking for, or else you'll have major graininess. Also remember to have the ISO setting on the camera match the ISO of the film, or else you will end up with either under or over-exposed pictures.
