Weaknesses: Takes alittle long for picture to come on when first turned on. Summary: This is my fourth Polaroid LCD TV purchase (1-26"; 2-37"; and 1-42") and we find all of the attributes to be very good to excellent. Color quality is exceptional and once you adjust the sound to your liking it is superb. I especially like the black covering on the speakers of the 42" (I understand this is a new upgrade on the TVs). I read some online reviews related to the Company's service prior to purchasing this 42" and find the comments to be unfounded. My experience with the Company's service has been excellent. e.g my wife dropped a remote and needed to order a new one. She called the Company and they sent a new one at no additional charge. I called CS and they said they will ship a replacement part. It has been 3 months and I am still waiting. Called them couple of times with no success. Please avoid buying anything for Poloroid. I couldn't find another store that offered a 42" 1080p LCD TV for anything close to this price. I connected it to my HTPC via the VGA connector and got crisp 1360x768 resolution. However, when I tried to get 1920x1080 (via 1080i), the entire desktop didn't show on the screen. I don't know if this is a result of my graphics card or the TV, but I plan to get a true 1080p graphics card anyway to truly test the 1920x1080 resolution. The builtin speakers were really tinny in sound quality, but that shouldn't matter to those who will use an external sound system. Was this review helpful or unhelpful for you?
