Pioneer DEH-1900MP In Dash CD/MP3 Player

Reasonable sound quality with auxiliary input at excellent price

Strengths: Good sound quality, comes with auxiliary input, you can hookup ipod without fm transmitter. Removable face plate. Price is right.

Weaknesses: Very basic looks, display looks boring.

Summary: Pioneer makes excellent stereos at reasonable price. Got this unit installed after someone stole my previous pioneer unit. This is a great unit with decent sound quality. Auxiliary input is a plus to hook up ipod. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

Pioneer DEH_1900mp in dash player

Strengths: Fantastic sound for price. Makes my 2007 Toyota Corolla sound like high-end with stock speakers. Great FM reception, much better than stock. AUX input for MP3, ipod. Remote included.

Weaknesses: Very poor AM reception. Might be install problem. Display could be brighter during daytime.

Summary: Overall this is a great product for the money. Sound is way better than stock. Lots of presets for FM if you listen to radio. Easy to customize sound settings or use preset EQ options. Looks good in my Corolla with the dash kit. Got free install at Circuit City, but it needed $46 worth of wiring harnesses and dash kit. Has a nice finished look with the dash kit. Only downside is AM reception, but might be install or antenna problem. Definitely recommend for economy replacement of stock head unit.

Pioneer DEH-1900MP In Dash CD/MP3 Player

Strengths: Great sound, easy access to aux input to use MP3 player

Weaknesses: controls for speaker sound/fade are difficult to use

Summary: Overall this is a great stereo that allows me to use my Creative Zen Vision MP3 player in the car. Just plug my player into the Aux input and its ready to go. I love the convenience of the included remote control. It makes it so much easier to control the stereo while driving.

DEH-1900MP Pioneer In Dash Player

Strengths: Its very reasonably priced and the performance is great. I'm very pleased with the sound. Greatest advantage is the auxillary input and faceplate security feature.

Weaknesses: I had to try some options to figure out the way to update the Clock. The manual instructions did not work. A face plate case should have been provided, and pause feature shd be a 1-touch button.

Summary: Overall for the price its a gr8 deal. Sound is fantastic and you can easily hook up ur ipod with the auxillary input. No need for the FM transmitter. I got it from Circuit City and they did the installation for free. Awesome.

Questionable quality

Strengths: Decent sound, minimal distortion, just enough features to be useful, easy to use remote control.

Weaknesses: Shoddy cd carriage quality

Summary: This is the second unit of the same model I have owned in the last three years. Both stopped ejecting cd\\\'s after a few months. Tuner works well, faceplate seems robust and the read-ahead cd function works very well. Remote is about the best feature allowing you to keep your eyes on the road and still scan radio stations, navigate a cd and manipulate the sound all by feel. Now if they would just fix the eject issue this would be a great budget head unit.

Pioneer DEH-1900MP

Strengths: Inexpensive, Excellent Pioneer SuperTuner, Aux input

Weaknesses: Only 1 set of RCA outputs, Basic looking

Summary: This is a great inexpensive unit. I wanted something cheap for in my truck, but this has all the features I really need. It sounds much better than what I had and the reception is much better as well. The front aux input is very handy as well.
