Strengths: Wireless, trouble free operation, water proof (black and color) prints Weaknesses: fast enough, but could be faster Summary: I've had this printer about 7 months. It's the most I've ever spent on a printer, but I have not regretted it. It has every feature I could want already built in: wireless, duplexing, auto sheet feeder on the scanner, card reader, full color lcd, etc. I have no complaints about the performance. It has worked perfectly since the day I installed. You need a usb cable to set the printer up, but Lexmark includes one in the box-- very handy. Once you use the easy installation program to connect it to your network, you most likely will never need the cable again. Lexmark gives you a free cable that you only really need for 5 minutes... I've purchased HP printers in the past that ONLY worked with USB and HP made you purchase the cable separately! HOW INCONVENIENT! Strengths: Would be fantastic if it would do what it is supposed to Weaknesses: Doesn't do what it's supposed to Summary: Tried to set this up for wirless connectivity over my network with two windows xp machines and one Mac OS 10.3.9. Windows machines work some of the time, most of the time print jobs fail. Scan works pretty well, copy as well, haven't tried fax, but try as we might there has been no connectivity with the mac. Spent hours on the phone with Lexmark trying to get it fixed but to no avail. Thankfully bought this from costco so will be taking it back, really a shame because the closes comparable device I could find was an HP which is 400 bucks, 200 more than I payed for the lexmark. 88% of People (7/8) found this review helpful.
