Strengths: dependable
Weaknesses: unknown
Summary: I trust Memorex media when backing up documents and files. I have not made a coaster so it is a good value at $20 for the fifty pack. I would recommend this product to others based on cost and reliability.

Strengths: Quality, price.
Weaknesses: Some DVD burners may require a firmware upgrade before use.
Summary: If you own a Memorex, HP, Verbatim, Sony, TDK, or QPS 2.4x burner, you'll have to upgrade your firmware in order to use these discs. From what I understand (I don't own this type of drive, myself), this is a common requirement for any 2.4x drive trying to use an 8x disc. I've used several types of blank media, and have found Memorex to be the best. I haven't yet had a problem that was caused by the media.

Strengths: Nice space to write, no problem with burning the DVD, good price
Weaknesses: none really
Summary: 2005-08-19 19:23:48 I was looking for some DVD for data back up. These ones proved to be reliable and fast. I burned whole spindle of them and only 1 has some kind of problem. Space to write on the label is more than sufficient. Considering the price, it is a bargain.

Strengths: reliable. only 1 coaster out of 50. burns at 8x with my NEC 2510
Weaknesses: burns only at 4x with my AOpen DVD writer
Summary: This is fairly reliable DVD+R media. I've burned through the whole spindle, with only one coaster. I used on 2 different writers. It burns at 8x with my NEC-2510. Unfortunately, it only does 4x with my AOpen DVD writer. The burned DVDs have played on my Apex DVD player, Pioneer DVD player, as well as in my 3 computers with no problem.
Overall, pretty good media. We'll just have to wait and see about longetivity.

Strengths: Value for money. best quality fot the given price range. Tolerates heavy and rough use. Good for day2day use.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: I would recommend this for 1st time users. i'm a sys admin and frequently need DVDs for copying/moving the data. this is the best i've found for day2day use. these withstand daily wear n tear. although i'm keeping my fingers crossed as to how the DVDs will behave after, say, 5yrs. the product descrpition misses this vital info.
