Strengths: Accuracy
Weaknesses: Mount
Summary: We have used the Vector on two trips now and it has probably saved us from the same number of tickets. It is very accurate with very little false reading. Of course with the on/off Laser detection you still have to be very careful because it will get you no matter what! We are having some problems with the mounting but it is minor.

Strengths: Very sensitive, loud enough, excellent filtering, great price
Weaknesses: No Pop Mode
Summary: I bought this unit for 110.00 brand new, This is a steal!

very sensitive and very few false alerts. I have owned many radar detectors and this one is the best performer in this price range. Beltronics is a serious Detector. I would recommend this one. It does not have a POP mode, But even the best Units with POP mode on will false like crazy, and you would shut it off! I have only had this one 3 days but have another I have had for a year.

Strengths: Easy setup, accurate reading,
Weaknesses: sometime it's noisy, the mount cap is too small, and not strong engough for long trup.
Summary: It's easy to set up, and ready radar signals accurate, however, the sometime it's noisy, announcing the K band, X band all the time, and disturbs my from enjoying the music.

Also the mount cap is too small, and not strong engough for long trup.

Anyway, for that amount of money, I think it really worth it.

Strengths: Easy to use, clear indication, accurate detection
Weaknesses: display can be bigger
Summary: It works great the moment you plug it in and turn on the power. The manually said a normal power up will go though a lengthy testing procedure, I found it actually takes no more than several seconds and it doesn't bother me at all. I bought this based on professional reviews, user reviews and a chat with a lady in RadioShack. Everybody says Beltronics makes the best Radar detectors. After comparing with the Express model and Vector model I choose the Vector for it's text display and voice announcement. However, I found I might have paid for something I don't really need. The beeping sound and signal strength is enough to indicate how seriously I should take the alert. Anyway, so far I am happy with it and the real test will come when I drive to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon during Christmas.

Strengths: Always detects all bands, good range, crisp alerts
Weaknesses: Some city false signals
Summary: For the money, this is an excellent unit. If you're looking for one to use by yourself, alone on an open road, perhaps the high end BEL Pro unit or the Passport is for you. But, if you're content to pace 100 yards behind someone and go with the prevailing left lane speed, this unit will more than make you happy.
