Strengths: 100Mbps, full-duplex, connector built-in
Weaknesses: gets warm, connector covers my PCMCIA slot
Summary: Works perfectly. The 100Mbps speed plus full-duplex makes it very fast compared with my prior card. It does also get warmer, but that's understandable since it is 10 times faster and has extra circuitry to hold the connector and the network activity LEDs.
I have an ultraportable IBM ThinkPad 240 laptop. The built-in LAN connector seems bulky but doesn't bother me at all when typing, in fact one forgets it's there. The same connector covers my PCMCIA slot. I have to pull the lever prior to insert the card or remove the card by pulling it slowly and carefully.
The built-in LAN connector gives the convenience of not relying on the propietary cable of other cards.
All in all, very satisfied with the purchase.
